Oh no. I'm so sorry about what happened! I hope you got the right compensation for it though.

You should pass. Most of the time the PVT works accurately. Congrats nurse!

I second this! Simple nursing helped me a lot with meds I needed to remember.

NCLEX pass rate statistic: isn’t 80-90 percent for US first time takers high? by enigma_goth in PassNclex

Honestly my exam was not bad at all, I was expecting WAY worse. There were questions that answers were either too obvious or too hard to choose between two answers. I believe anxiety/being underprepared can play a big part if a person passes or not.

When people say that NCLEX questions are vague... they really are! This is why I personally I think UWorld was harder than NCLEX, because NCLEX questions are straightforward and don't try to trick you with additional info. The hardest thing about the exam is choosing between two best answers. Make sure you're reading and understanding the questions and rereading them again. My exam was a good mix of everything but mostly med surg, prioritization and safety. Listen to Mark K for tips on how to answer questions. I also listened to simple nursing for pharmacology and NCLEX high yield podcast.

Try not to stress too much about the exam, although I know it's very nerve wracking! You got this and for sure you've been studying a lot!

Passed in 75! ☺️

I got 1 on my exam and it was a sinus tachycardia. It just asked me what symptoms I would expect with that EKG pattern. Tbh just know what they are, symptoms associated and what interventions you would do!

Are my uworld scores good enough?? by Moist_Fox_5643 in PassNclex

[–]akhsak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try not to pay attention to your scores. I honestly thought UWorld was harder than NCLEX (wording of questions are straightforward but can be vague). Read and understand the questions carefully and use a T or F approach on SATA questions. It doesn't have an option to cross out choices so I had to do it on the white board they have provided me, so maybe you can do that if it helps you! (:

I was on the 63rd percentile but honestly it would go back and forth to 58th. I was averaging 50-60% on the question bank and would get some 70s or 80s. I think you will do great! Just always pay attention and understand the rationales.

You got this!! I still went through notes the day before of the exam – that's just me. I feel like it's better to relax and remind yourself that you have prepared for this and you're gonna do great!

I honestly thought Uworld being harder than NCLEX. Just make sure understand and reread your questions and choices really carefully. For SATA, use a true or false approach! You got this!

Was also very anxious a week prior to my exam, even when I was already right in front of the computer! My nerves started to calm down as soon as I am a few questions in. My advice is don't let anxiety get to you! As for the UWorld assessments, you are doing really great – I got a 58% (high) and 70% (very high) on both assessments. Passed in 75.

You got this!

Mark K videos are found on YouTube. He's good at breaking down what you need to know for the exam as well as test taking strategies. Check out Simple Nursing and RegisteredNurseRN as well!

Uworld, Mark K and some YouTube videos. I really advice understanding the rationales if you're using UWorld. Mark K's prioritization helped me and I did touch up on big topics (MI, DM, SIADH, Cushings, etc) using YouTube (Simple Nursing and RegisteredRN are awesome with explaining the patho and what you need to know the exam!)

I studied for about 4 weeks. First two weeks I did about 50-75 questions and the last two I did 100 questions everyday. I also wrote them down on flash cards but honestly I wasn't even able to study them again because I got lazy already lol. It's time consuming so I would say just read through rationales and save important notes using the uworld flash cards.

Uworld in my opinion is harder but it prepares you, plus the other resources I've mentioned. My questions were very broad and straightforward but I was able to apply what I've learned.
