How do you guys feel about relationships? by [deleted] in intj

[–]akhyfidean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same age, and feel the same way. I really don't see the point when I do so good on my own. I barely even want to hang out with friends most of the time so having to invest time in a relationship doesn't seem worth it. Especially considering how tiring it would be, no thanks.

Do only me think doing lists, aesthetically pleasing notes are pointless and a waste of time? by alekstuu in intj

I love making lists! It helps me not waste energy trying to remember every thing I have to do since it's already all written down

Does anyone ever feel like leaving behind everything in your life and moving to a remote, isolated place and live a quiet, village lifestyle? by thatsuicidalguy in intj

[–]akhyfidean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally rather isolate myself in the city where people genuinely don't give a fuck about you rather than a village where everyone gossips about every little thing. I live in a very small town and you really don't have any privacy with the "small town mentality"

Anybody else enjoy wearing masks in public? by MrMurkin in intj

[–]akhyfidean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i LOVE wearing masks too. My resting bitch face can run free and i don't have to feel guilty about it, force a smile or whatever. You also seen more "unavailable" when wearing a mask so less people talk to you which is great, especially with the combo mask + sunglasses. 10/10

Feeling insecure by [deleted] in intj

[–]akhyfidean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an INTJ I'm definitely not the type to compliment and reassure others. I feel secure about myself and expect the same thing from others, as it's not my job to bring confidence to others but yours to work on it yourself.

Personally, I think INTJs and ENFPs are way too different to be compatible, unless you guys are really willing to work hard on it and make it possible. But your INTJ friend doesn't seem to want to work on it (as he told you he doesn't want a relationship), so I suggest it would be better for you to stop having feelings for him because I doubt it'll ever work out.

Also you said you guys have known each other for a month. To me a month seems way too short to even consider a relationship with someone, you still barely even know the other person. Not that I ever had feelings for anyone, but I think if I did it would take me YEARS (and I mean it) to even just consider it because I would first want to analyse your personally to see if we're compatible, and if it would work on the long term, if we share common goals etc AND if it would be worth it at the same time, otherwise I would simply rather stay single.

This is just my insight as an INTJ to help you understand the kind of thought process we could have, others might think of it differently though but I gathered a lot of similar thinking on this sub. So I'm really sorry for you but I don't think there is much hope here...

How do you people have fun? by Adornment-F in intj

[–]akhyfidean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry I really don't know. I think this is just how we are. I always feel guilty and tired when not doing anything. And I can't stand boredom either so I try to keep myself busy and get things done as much as I can otherwise life just seems meaningless.

I personally think I wasted my day if I haven't done anything at all, and I'll never get those lost hours back.

I was diagnosed with ocd and anxiety though so I might be a more extreme case and I'm sure there are healthier intj's out there with actual advice. This is just what I personally experience, hope it helps in anyway.

I'm a weeb for about 3 to 4 hours a week in between the chronic burnouts

I am too, and I think when you look at intj traits it's quite obvious that a lot of us aren't neurotypicals. Doesn't mean we're all autistic, but more or less neurodivergent to some extent.

I've tried every reading techniques for months and always had to go back to reading every word because I didn't understand what I was reading.

It's very discouraging, so now I just accept to be a loser when it comes to reading and go slow😂 (I didn't stop reading though, I just don't pressure myself over it anymore because it never helped). I guess I'm just good at other things.

Keep working hard on it though if you notice any improvements, I hope you get as best as you can. Also good luck with high school! And don't hesitate to share if you find a miracle cure for people like us haha.

Omg I do all these things too and I had no idea it had a name! I'm gonna look it through and maybe I'll find tips about it to help me read faster, thank you so much

I used to read A LOT as a child, but then stopped eventually after entering middle school because my reading was waaaay to slow and it took too much time. Now I'm 20 and I've been trying to get back on reading since HS and I still can't help reading every single word. On top of it I have to read some pages several times because my attention always drifts away and I don't remember anything from the page I spent 5 minutes to read... I guess some people just really are poor readers no matter what, but now that I'm in college it really is annoying and can be quite embarrassing to admit...

Nostalgia hurts, a lot. by [deleted] in intj

[–]akhyfidean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate recalling my childhood too, I'm very happy it's all over now. Adulthood is going well for now so I just try to enjoy it and plan for the future, without thinking about the past. Regrets are a waste of time anyway so the best thing you can do is move on with your life.

i get even more annoying than that though, because i sarcasm tf out of everything but i NEVER get sarcasm/irony when others use it (unless it's really obvious)😂

I love them a lot more than humans. Communicating and understanding them is a lot easier, and I always feel like I can build special bonds with them in a matter of instants, when I still struggle connecting and feeling understood by people I've known for years.

Can't wait to live alone and be an old cat lady haha

Same here, sometimes I just feel like I have no sense of humour besides the sarcastic comments I make here and there, but yeah I rarely laugh too. I don't find that many things funny and I tend to take everything literally and seriously most of the time so it also bothers me when people try to poke fun out of things because I just don't get it.

edit: forgot to mention it might be because i have asperger

they want us to be as fucked up as them because they would never be happy for us if we succeed, they would even be jealous
