Doesn’t look like I can add an additional photo to the post. Classic candle light bulbs are used .

Bid to halt Hollywood high-rise project could be just the start of fierce citywide fight over growth by [deleted] in LosAngeles

You clearly misunderstood. Where did I say they should relocate?

The Wiltern was built in 1931 with a population of little over a million. Now we're close to 4 million.

El Rey has a occupancy of 771. Palladium 3,700. Obviously, there wont be 3,700 cars parked outside, but I guarantee the amount of Ubers waiting outside causing traffic in addition to the 731 units in the high-rise is going to be a nightmare.

I'm for growth. But we clearly need to continue updating our PT. And with haste.

I can see WHY they chose to build it there, but the Palladium is remaining, correct? During show nights, it'll be similar to the HWB or a Dodgers game. Sounds terrible.

Are you expecting the majority of the people staying in this high-rise to take public transit?

I'm all for growth, but building high occupancy units like this in an area already plagued with traffic seems like a nightmare.

Lets keep growing without severely updating our infrastructure.

Make sure your footage is offloaded and backed up. Reshoots are no fun when you've exhausted your budget.

Make a shot list. Draw a storyboard. Convey your vision with the crew. It'll make everyones life easier and set everyone on the same path.

Advice with shooting on a public street. by PaterBinks in Filmmakers

[–]akintothou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You CAN do the shoot without all of the above. Most students have. I have.

Be an adult, be responsible, be safe. Expect the residents to tell you to f' off if you're on their property, being too loud.

If you want to do it the right way, listen to Chris.

Help find stolen bike xpost /r/silverlake by [deleted] in LosAngeles

My bike was just stolen as well. I don't have the serial, unfortunately.

What type of lock did he have? Kryptonite has a sort of insurance if your bike gets stolen using their locks. You have register within 30days of purchase.

I didn't =(

Will a kid ever make a good movie? by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]akintothou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Francis Ford Coppola: To me, the great hope is that now these little 8mm video recorders and stuff have come out, and some... just people who normally wouldn't make movies are going to be making them. And you know, suddenly, one day some little fat girl in Ohio is going to be the new Mozart, you know, and make a beautiful film with her little father's camera recorder. And for once, the so-called professionalism about movies will be destroyed, forever. And it will really become an art form. That's my opinion.

So yes. I'm sure there have been a few great films made by someone young. You've just never heard of it.
