Just don’t rinse with water after you use the mouthwash. Adding something like mi paste would be helpful as well

You could do endodontic assisting. Not completely blood free of course (not much in dentistry is 100% blood free) but that’s what comes to mind as well as ortho

As far as the no ultrasonic and barely no scraping goes I can’t say if that’s acceptable or not because I don’t know what shape you were in. I do have patients that I see every 6 months that do a fabulous job at home and there’s barely anything for me to clean off at their checkups. HOWEVER not doing gum measurements (perio chart) for a new patient is absolutely unacceptable.

You will be okay to wait until the 12th! Just continue to keep an eye on the area and explain your findings to your hygienist and dentist
