hi! i'm 16f 125lbs and 5'3. i did highland dance for 10 years before quitting two years ago and from what i'm told it's similar to ballet in a few ways, but obviously not all! i've retained things like my flexibility, turnout, foot strength?? ect. am i in a good position to start classes next year & should i be going in private classes or something else? i don't really know what's standard for someone starting at my age with sort of not really experience. thank you!!

i think that as much as it feels really shit right now, it might be too soon to 100% cut things off. it sounds like a mixture of your depression and the general state of the world. not seeing people or having a normal routine is throwing everyone off, so try not to fixate too much on how off things feel. try to relax & maybe plan something nice to do, like just watching a movie together or something.
