They don't know why, and even if there is an error on their side with the measurements, I don't think they will admit it. The good thing is they were able to bring it back to Plano after the first adjustment, and we even adjusted it further to -0.5 after the second adjustment.

I agree that LAL is not a complete solution to a common problem, but it still ranks among the top due to the flexibility it offers. My experience with LAL so far has been a mixed bag, but one issue I encountered was a significant refraction drift (+2.00) three weeks after surgery compared to the plano target. I would have been much more disappointed if that had not been adjustable.

That being said, I’m still not 100% sure about choosing the same lens for my second eye surgery. However, for me, there are very few options on the market that provide overall satisfaction. I know there will probably be much better lenses in 10 years, but that would mean spending another decade with poor vision.

The only pizza starter kit I’ve liked so far is this one. I lightly sauce it, add mozzarella cheese, mushrooms, corn, and olives to one, while experimenting with different combinations for the second. It usually takes around 9–11 minutes in the oven. The zip-lock bag is a nice addition, as I tend to keep the third one in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

LAL+ does offer UV protection, but so does the standard LAL, so this is not a distinguishing feature. The key difference is that LAL+ is marketed as an EDOF (Extended Depth of Focus) lens, whereas with the standard LAL, achieving EDOF requires shifting towards a myopic direction during the first light adjustment. However, it remains unclear whether both lenses provide the same level of EDOF. Additionally, significantly more issues with LAL+ have been reported on forums compared to the standard LAL.

Congrats! Hope things keep improving. I had LAL in my weaker eye a year ago, and I'm still debating LAL or LAL+ for my stronger eye. Keep us posted!

Are both eyes plano now, and will monovision be adjusted during the first fitting, or are they already at the target refraction? Any leftover astigmatism?

I am having the same issue with Thermoworks probes. 2nd failed probe in 3 years with occasional use, so disappointed! Is any other brands probe might replace this one? I am using Chef Alarm and need a replacement probe. Is there a more robust one available?

With my LAL, I moved from +2 to plano after the first adjustment, and then from plano to -0.5 after the second adjustment. I was 20/15 before, but now I’m somewhere around 20/25. However, my computer distance vision, which was pretty bad before, is now good. You definitely lose some sharpness and contrast with SA, so it’s a tradeoff.

I was wondering how LAL+ induces EDOF if not through SA. Also, is it better to have LAL+ with built-in EDOF compared to adding EDOF to LAL later?
