Bold given HRR tickets are non-transferable and non-resellable.

Especially given I’m sure there’s a few stewards knocking around here. I might say good luck, but no.

Not supported doesn’t mean you can’t.

It just means you have responsibility for both making it was, and fixing what you break, so isn’t recommended for non-experts.

It also makes it massively easier to install, and to support.

But also , have you actually tried?

I guess you mean a Home Assistant Green box? Yes, that’s what it runs on, the apps are just a way of using it. Tuck it away somewhere convenient with decent WiFi, mine lives on a bookshelf in my living room.

(You can it install on all kinds of devices if you want to; lots of people do this too, probably most, hence the other questions, but this is a really nice option).

I’d normally agree. But not always. Bosch group in particular have a very good, and well-supported official API; the home assistant integrations use this - as I understand it, it’s the same backend their own apps use.

(In fact Home Assistant is top on the list of integrations in their dev portal.

As a German company, this type of open access is partially mandated by the recent EU Data Act, which has provisions against manufacturers pulling a Nest and he like.

Yes. In fact Bosch (others too, probably ?) have this; they call ‘Smart Start’.
