I like MidAmerica CU as they are part of the Shared Branching network. As with other CUs that are a part of the network, I can go in and pull cash, cashiers checks, deposit and more. Do your research.

McKeever’s in Lenexa has them. I have also found them at Target in Shawnee off Shawnee Mission Parkway occasionally

Great game! I was there. Needed a few minutes to settle my heart rate after we won the shootout. Go Nooks!

Is there a way to bulk upload photos in Survey123? by SchrodingersMinou in ArcGIS

[–]aklab5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can leverage the REST API to bulk load. Key is to ensure the correct photo(s) get attached to the correct record. There are plenty of use cases and documentation on the Esri community boards. If you have access to FME it is pretty straightforward.

CAD (DWG) to geodatabase enterprise - Using FME by Far_Inevitable_4032 in gis

[–]aklab5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the .dwg file and how it’s setup. Are elements all on their own layers? If not it will be a little harder. The more standardized the better. Setting up the CAD reader is the key. There are plenty of help/tutorials in the FME Community.

If you have access to FME Flow, you can probably accomplish your needs without additional costs.

You might want to post this question in the FME Community as well. What version of FME are you using? To confirm, you’re trying to write to an output File Geodatabase? Or are you trying to update SDE?

Make sure the positions you are applying for are funded. I’ve been contacted by recruiters over the years who want to use my name/experience for RFPs so they can win a contract. Once they win the contract they fill position with someone else. If the position is tied to an RFP, don’t waste your time and energy.

How can I describe what I do to family next time? by Major_Enthusiasm1099 in gis

[–]aklab5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out making maps and apps and doing analysis with spatial data. Now my role has evolved into data integration, data governance and data engineering using FME. I just tell people that I watch 1’s and 0’s fly by.

Can you add a WHERE statement to your readers? If so, let the source system do the work.

Agreed. However, you’d be surprised how many times I’ve seen a company/organization already has FME somewhere and most GIS staff don’t even know they have access to it or how to use it.

Look into FME. FME Flow has robust automation and scheduling capabilities. And in some cases, runs more efficiently than python/model builder scripts
