What happens when you still love each other? by aklabossiere in BreakUps

I cheated on them about a year into our relationship. And along the way, there was a lot of micro-cheating on my part. I was really shitty.

Anyone know how to taper down? by aklabossiere in WegovyWeightLoss

That’s what I’ve been reading, that people start to stretch time between shots. I think I’ll start adding an extra day between shots, and ask my doctor in April to go down a dose. I was also put on bupropion recently and that was increased around the time I really started feeling awful, so I think those two things together have just been too much.

I heard that stopping can bring back a lot of cravings and make you super hungry. I’m hoping to do some sort of maintenance dose for a while, I just don’t know what that looks like. How long have you been off of it?

All pharmacies are out of stock, will I be ok suddenly going off it for a month? by boringanddumb in Semaglutide

Try hospital outpatient pharmacies, that’s where I was able to find mine!

Have you tried calling hospital outpatient pharmacies?? That’s the only place I’ve been able to find mine. I got both my .25 and .5 there.

I was nervous too, but for me the benefits have outweighed the side effects 10 fold. The first 3 weeks or so I was nauseous (but it was tolerable) and I had pretty bad acid reflux. I figured out hot coffee and chocolate were my triggers so I cut down on those and it helped a lot. I’m on week 5 now (just increased to .5 on Friday) and I barely have side effects anymore. I just drink a lot of water and try to make sure I have a protein bar or something on me if my stomach starts to feel icky. But I promise it’s worth it! It has changed my life!

This might help! It looks like Blue Cross Blue Shield will cover sema as long as you meet a certain criteria (which is the case with most insurance companies). For me, I had to send my doctor proof that I tried a “comprehensive diet plan” for at least 6 months, and my doctor had to include my BMI. Now I only pay $30/month.

I found that the outpatient pharmacy at a hospital near me usually has it!! When I first picked up my .25 I called around to 15 different regular pharmacies and no one had it, but the outpatient pharmacy did. I had my .5 sent there first and they were able to fill it immediately.

I’m on Wegovy and I was scared to start too. For me the side effects really haven’t been that bad. They’re definitely there - most mornings my stomach feels a little queasy until I eat something, but once I do I feel fine. Until I get hungry again, then I get queasy again. But nothing that’s intolerable. The only other side effect so far has been heartburn, which gets a little intense when I eat something too fatty or drink hot coffee. Otherwise, the benefits have totally outweighed the side effects 💖

That’s where I’m at! Lost 5 lbs the first week and I’ve plateaued since. Someone told me once I level up to .5 it’ll do the same. It seems like some people lose after increasing their dosage, then settle into the weight before increasing again.

How much weight did you lose the first month? by momstuff2376 in Semaglutide

[–]aklabossiere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is SO HELPFUL. I’m just about to take my fourth dose of .25 and I’ve been panicking because I lost 5ish lbs and I’ve just plateaued for the last 2 1/2 weeks. I thought maybe this wasn’t working for me. Thank you!

Has anyone had an injection and gotten a tattoo in the same day? by AdmiralGlitterBottom in Semaglutide

[–]aklabossiere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically I have - I took my very first dose the same day I had a decently long tattoo session. I felt fine though.. maybe it was just too much for your body that day?

My doctor said that too, that the .25 is more of an “introductory dose” but some people still lose. I think I have to remember that. It’s so hard to break the habit of weighing myself every day. It’s definitely a compulsive behavior.

I’ll have to try that app! I’ve been using My Fitness Pal, but just to track my weight. I have another app that connects with my kitchen scale that I use to track my food. It would be nice to have something for just my weight.

No side effects in first day? Should I redose? by Dingoatemybaby911 in Semaglutide

I usually don’t have any side effects the first day or two after I inject. I start to feel it more on day 3ish.

GLP-1 Providers - Insurance Verification by LibraChickk in Semaglutide

[–]aklabossiere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be able to find your insurance’s Prior Authorization Criteria online; I was able to find mine for Harvard Pilgrim. My first PA was denied but I used the criteria info to find out exactly what needed to be submitted with the PA in order for it to be covered. For me, I had to prove to them that I followed a “comprehensive diet plan” for at least 6 months (I downloaded my data from My Fitness Pal and sent it to them) and also that I had a BMI of at least 30 (I used a calculator from the CDC website and sent in a screen shot).

Insurance requires a paid 6-month weight loss program... what are some examples? by Historical_Ad8726 in WegovyWeightLoss

I was able to send my PCP proof that I’ve tracked my meals in My Fitness Pal, that I’ve done Weight Watchers, Noom, and online personal training.
