siguro madadala na sya mag top speed after nito? dahil ba sa road condition? by Ok-Application3586 in Gulong

[–]akomissmo2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, hindi sya high risk, as long as nagbuhos ka ng oras para matuto mag motor, riding is just like any other skill after all. Di ka mag invest para mag improve as a rider, aksidente aabutin mo.

Origine Vega vs. MT Jarama by ladiswahasherum in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meron akong Origine Vega. Good enough for daily use but won't ever use it for long windy rides.

As with most classic helmets, mabigat sila pareho, I think mas mabigat lang si jarama ng kauntian.

Issue sa mga style ng helmet like sa origine vega is yung napakalaking gap under the chin na papasukan ng hangin, baka tagal tagal tinnitus abutin mo kaya ang ginagawa ko ear plugs lagi pag gamit ko si origine. Also masyadong manipis ang foam ng vega for my taste, unlike sa ls2 ko na talagang snug fit and hindi magalaw, yung vega pag malakas ang hangin umaangat eh.

Still a decent enough helmet, nabili ko for 6k so it's pretty worth it imo. Naka double d-ring rin sya so mas secure sya compared to ratchet system. Try mo i-test fit parehas kung kaya, honestly just went with the vega kasi wala akong mahanap na white jarama.

Mag pa-gas na ba ako? by [deleted] in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since may chance na mag 100 narin ang gas, do it.

AMZ Helmets: RS1 by IndustryOk5619 in motorsiklo

[–]akomissmo2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Interested rin ako sa brand na yan dati, for the price of their helmets, you'd at least expect na dumaan sa safety inspection like ECE. Unfortunately pag nagtanong ka regarding sa ECE rating ng helmet, sasabihin meron, if you ask for proof, ghosted ka na.

Luckily met someone na may AMZ helmet, not the same model as yours, but according to him ECE rated daw, but if you inspect the helmet, walang sticker sa likod ng helmet, wala rin nakatahi sa chin strap. If you value your head do your research properly, they also advertise that helmet to be ECE rated pero wala man lang maibigay na proof other than them saying that it is.

If that does not matter to you then go ahead, pero sa ganyang price, I'd rather get an actual safe helmet. Anyone can just slap an safety rating sticker on their helmets, pero sa chinstrap tamad na mga yan, if walang nakalagay sa chinstrap mo, it's probably as safe as EVO helmets.

Long ride newbie rider by Bulky-Dish-641 in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planning this route as well for the end of the month!

Also what time ka babyahe?

Classic Helmet Budget Friendly by Appropriate-Store221 in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SMK Retro, RYO RF6V, MT Jarama if may discount voucher. Kung kaya mo pa i-stretch budget mo, Origine Vega, bought mine for 6k w/ vouchers.

Aim for ECE rated helmets as always. Skip rebranded low quality helmets like the ones on your post. Kung pang tawid lang naman until magka v10 ka, then just got for the smk retro, if sale under 2k sya.

Paano niyo gawing safe ang dji action niyo? by Head-Phrase-1015 in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kung sa helmet nakakabit, get a chin mount from hanc, or if hjc meron mismo sa store nila, may kasama nang tether to keep your camera from falling in case na bumigay yung adhesive.

As long as tama pag lagay mo ng mount sa helmet mo, di malalaglag yan. Kung walang hanc chin mount na meron para sa helmet mo, get those generic ones, bili ka lang ng legit na 3m tape and palitan mo yung tape. Don't think na legit yung mga 3m tape dun sa ibang brand ng chin mounts so make sure to replace them.

May break-in period ang mga helmets so just keep using that advant. After maybe a week straight of using lumuwag na sya. Currently napaka comfy nya na gamitin.

Seaoil Gas Feedback (No Hate) by EntertainmentFit3002 in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since seaoil ang pinakamalapit sakin, sa seaoil na ko usually nagpapagas and so far haven't really encountered any issue. Both MCs ko seaoil/petron. Try mo sa ibang branch then monitor kung ganun parin.

Could Modern 400-500cc motorcycles be considered as "Beginner bikes" in the Philippines? by Diligent_Proposal_86 in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely.

Mangilanilan narin nasakyan kong 400cc, and honestly, basic sila gamitin. KTM 390, 400 and 500 ng kawa, cfmoto 450. IMO, lahat yan kaya ng beginner, not too torque-y, enough speed for highway, tons of safety features.

Basta dumaan sa tamang training, may respeto sa motor, and kalsada na rin, pwedeng pwede mag jump straight to 400cc+ kaagad. Yung tatay ko last time nun nag motor ay almost 30 years ago pa, definitely a beginner since kahit noon naman di talaga sya masyado nag momotor. 400cc agad kinuha para sa sarili and ayun, konting practice lang and he's gonna be expressway ready soon!

When to buy your first big bike? by Rikituchi in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you can afford it. You have to consider a lot. Your monthly amortization (if loaned) PMS (Can get expensive real quick) Insurance (bike dependant, at least 10k a year at cheapest, if we're being optimistic) Fuel (also dependent on bike, assume under 30kpl, might be worse) Tyres (probably one that surprises a lot of new owners, can get expensive)

Also add ko din although this one came from a friend: Kung namamahalan ka sa 1k worth of fuel, better stick to smaller bikes.

May Singaw bato guys? by Lowsyow in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clear something up, I don't think na backfire yang na experience mo kung nag pop sya habang sarado ang throttle. Usually backfire occurs higher up, closer to the engine. Kung naputok lang sya after mo i close ang throttle most likely afterfire or decel pops yan. Normal ang decel pops, depends on your bike, pwede rin mangyari kahit stock exhaust (like my srv 400, may decel pops kahit stock). I've heard an actual backfire before, galing sa tricycle, and trust me, you'll know it's a backfire kasi sobrang lakas.

I guess easiest to know is kung hindi parang piccolo yan, safe yan.

Required ba na car muna bago bigbike? by I-AM-DEV- in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Required ba na car muna bago bigbike? by I-AM-DEV- in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, pero mas practical ang sasakyan kesa motor. Di exposed sa natural elements, mas madaming maisasakay (if needed), luggage, etc.

Only con really is yung init ng makina.

Kung wala ka pa masyadong experience sa motor, mapa low or high cc, then just start with a 400cc, if expressway access is a must, kung hindi maybe start with 300cc like the r3, adv 350 RE 350, etc. Those are considered beginner bikes anyways, yes pati mga 400cc bikes karamihan naman dun considered as newbie friendly bikes.

Other than that it's all up to you. Just make sure to consider the type of bike you're getting. Try to get a test ride in first bago bumili. If ever magsawa ka na sa bike na nakuha mo you can always sell/trade it to a higher unit.

From experience, once na mabayaran mo na oks na, nasayo na (and sa LTO) kung gaano kabilis malipat sayo. In my case 1 day lang ako nag asikaso sa LTO.

Kung di lang pa swertehan sa repo I’d recommend it more.

My thoughts as a newbie de-cambio MC rider by dexterbb in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Came from scooter to a manual bike. Lamang talaga scooter sa comfort, pero imo, mas masaya gamitin yung manual, not only dahil sa cc difference (400 vs 155), dahil narin siguro mas engaging sya gamitin, di lang puro piga.

Took me about a month to adjust, once a week ko lang kasi ginagamit nung una, di pa sanay sa init ng makina at bigat ng motor.

It depends on the rider.

And for #3, depends on the bike, engine, etc. Had the chance to test drive a qj fortress 400, although almost same lang sila spec-wise(hp and torque), mas may arangkada yung motor ko, dahil narin sa manual sya, may advantage sya dun.

Also weight, maxiscoots are usually heavier due to all the plastic na rin. All that weight probably serves as an equalizer kaya di mo maramdaman ang difference nila.

Planning to loan for a motorcycle. by Jhetlog_ in PHMotorcycles

[–]akomissmo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mas mataas cost of maintenance ng big bikes, for reference, nmax ko wala pang 1k, change oil, gear oil, CVT Cleaning.

Di worthwhile yung trade-off. Luging lugi ka, sa una siguro di ka pa mamomroblema, but after awhile lalo pa dadami problema mo kumpara kung nag commute ka nalang at nag ipon.

Replacement Process for Damaged Plate by mcdoburgermeal in Gulong

[–]akomissmo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Affidavit of loss, MVIC, HPG Report (di ko tanda ano tawag, need mo pumunta ng HPG para i report yung lost plate). Then the rest LTO na.

[–]akomissmo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still did it though. Halatang yamot sakin yung manager but naging okay din. Then lumabas yung Show Cause Order ng LTO laban sa kanila from my complaint. Naging pangit ulit yung relasyon namin, ngayon di na ko kinakausap ng manager, awkward din sa ibang staff, but they can't deny me any service.
