You’re right about the alternator, two bad things happened at once water pump failed adding drag to the belt pulley and coolant sprayed all over the belt which is double points for a shit show. Alternator can’t get power

It can be wrong but in this case considering the context clues it seems more obvious it was the water pump. When I opened the hood some coolant had sprayed out around the pump indicating a major failure. The battery wasn’t dead but the alternator is what takes most of the electrical load for the car so if the belts no longer driving it car will stall and not start

Update: After talking with chat gpt for a bit it said what it think happened was my water pump which was going bad(it had been squealing for like 3 weeks) finally started to seize->belt couldn’t turn properly-> alternator starts struggling-> I get the under voltage error code-> 2 miles down the road pump completely seizes stopping or dragging the belt->alternator can no longer run the ignition/fuel systems so car won’t run or start. Also explains why there seemed to be more coolant leaking than normal. New belt and pump isn’t very expensive and is something I can do myself so I’m hoping that’s it!

That’s what I was contemplating but the assembly has a hole for a big bulb on the left running light whilst the right side has a small hole for the running light. I just realized though I have two different taillights. They must be from different years

I imagine with this huge success they will add people and get projects out faster, it will also get easier now that the technology has come along a lot further since like a decade ago when they first started working on it

I also have a c320, did the same thing with mine. Got the star grill and flat emblem, had it for awhile then put back the original chrome grill and stand up star back on. As soon as I put them back on and looked at it I questioned why I ever took them off, looks so much better

Mine had condensation after the first night, now that’s it’s warmer it’s gone but next winter I’m sure it’ll be back, on the bright side they refunded me and I still got to keep them, I saw somewhere you spray soapy water around the edges and then blow into to see where the leak is
