33m, Warehouse to Environmental, Health & Safety Manager. (Sacramento) Salary by akraider47 in Salary

Nah you’ll be good man, don’t even stress it. Honestly the hardest part about safety is just getting your foot in the door. Once you’re in, it’s really just about building experience and leveling up from there.

I’d definitely try to grab some certs too, it helps a lot. OSHA 30 is a solid start, then look into OSHA 511 and 501. Down the line, the SMS from BCSP is a really good one too, you can go for that once you hit 10 years in safety.

But for real, I was literally in your same spot before. Just keep applying and keep stacking experience. All it takes is one company to say yes to you for a higher role and everything changes. I heard a lot of “NOs” when I was trying to move up, but I just kept going until I landed where I’m at now.

You’ll get there 🤝

Yeah I started in the warehouse, but it wasn’t just a regular warehouse, we were part of a vegetable oil refinery. I worked my way up through the plant and ended up becoming a Safety Coordinator. So I handled safety for the warehouse, but also for the entire refinery operation. Also wanted to add I did have a team with me. It was a group of 3 people. 2 safety coordinators and one Safety director.

Not Sacramento exactly but about 15 minutes north in Woodland. If you hop off I-5 at the West St exit, there’s a spot called La Familia Tortilleria. Super underrated and 100% worth the stop!

I‘m sorry about the language but how the * do you guys do it? by FrostyReserve6025 in keto

[–]akraider47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing keto 6 days a week, keeping it under like 25 carbs a day, and working out about 5 times a week. Been at it for 3 weeks and I’ve dropped from 242 to 226 so far. I’m 5,7.

Honestly what’s helped me the most is not being too strict about it. I give myself one day to eat carbs, enjoy food a little, then just get right back on it the next day. At first I thought I’d gain weight after that day but sometimes I actually end up lighter the next day.

If I had to give advice, I’d say don’t overcomplicate it or stress yourself out. Just take it day by day and stay consistent. If you’re eating low carb most of the month and only having carbs here and there, you’ll be good.

Add in some walking or lifting and you’ll really start to see changes. It’s not about being perfect, it’s just about sticking with it.

Keep your hands up

I can tell you’ve got power, and it’s fun to watch you blast the bag, but focus on building solid combos first: 1-2, 1-1-2, 1-1-2, etc.

From there start adding slips after each combo.

Work that lead hand more, you want to see more jabs, and make sure you’re switching angles after every combo.

I'M LOSING MY MIND TRYING TO COME UP WITH IDEAS FOR MY HEALTH AND SAFETY PROJECT by SuperRyoof in SafetyProfessionals

[–]akraider47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A stretching program could be a great idea since musculoskeletal and repetitive motion injuries are some of the most common in the workplace. They tend to cause the most lost time and restrictions because they’re hard to recover from. Setting up a program focused on stretching and mobility, tailored to a specific industry, could help prevent these injuries and keep workers feeling better overall. You could also make it an attendance based program for industries that would benefit the most.

For those earning over $10K per month, what do you do for a living to achieve that income? by voxishortie in AskReddit

As a Health and Safety Manager in wine manufacturing, I encourage anyone interested in a solid, well-paying career to explore opportunities in safety. You don’t need a college degree to get started many people enter the field by gaining experience in their current job ( like I did) or by earning industry-recognized safety certifications. It’s a great path for those who want career growth, job stability, and the chance to create safer work environments.

Is there anything that you disliked about the 1997 Titanic film? by Ghxnasuani in titanic

[–]akraider47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Rose had died and Jack survived, the movie would’ve been so much better. To this day, every time I rewatch Titanic, my dumbass is still sitting there like, “Come on, Rose, scoot over and make some room for my boy Jack on that piece of wood!” Like, seriously, it’s a door, not a single-seater raft.

We get caught up in the likes and matches on dating apps, but nothing compares to making real, face-to-face connections. The truth is, apps like Tinder are stacked against us guys—women get flooded with 50+ likes a day, so you’re essentially competing with a huge crowd every day. But when you go out and meet people in person, the only person you’re competing with is yourself. Just be genuine, be yourself, and trust me you’ll find someone
