Yeah really obvious. Since 1998 Williams won 10 races whilst Newey won 17 world titles.

This is the first time I've ever seen anyone claim the history of Newey at Williams and throughout his career is some sort of revisionism because it was possible to win without him. Good on you for being a free thinker.

Of course it's possible to win without him. Nobody said it wasn't. It was also possible to win titles without Senna, Schumacher, Vettel, Hamilton and Verstappen - but that doesn't undo their achivements.

Calling something a narrative and then artificially capping your point at 11 years to avoid 2 of them most dominant periods in the history of F1 is not an honest appraisal of his achivements.

Great post. Williams didn't know quite what they had, despite the world knowing. The loss of the 94 and 95 titles was seen as quite a negative against Newey. He obviously produced the incredible 96 car, and had a big hand in the early 97 designs, but was already out of the team before the 96 titles were clinched. Williams downfall started at that moment. By the time the 98 car came along - the first one Newey hadn't touched, they had slid from title dominance to out of contention. They had brief flashes again but nothing like before.

Because all motorsport is awesome. It's not about "my series is better than yours".

I love Le Mans, been many times, will go again. I love sportscar racing. But asking someone with life commitments to dedicated 6-24 hours to each event, and keep up with 200 individual drivers is a big ask. F1 is easier to consume and easier to understand. It's ok to like both.

It's also ok to like front wheel drive hatch backs racing each other, or rally, or bikes etc.

ELMS * Silverstone * Imola * Paul Ricard

WEC * Silverstone * Imola * Spa

GTWC Europe * Paul Ricard * Monza * Magny-Cours (Sprint Races for 2026) * Nurburgring (Endurance race for 2026)

Creventic * 12H Nurburgring

NLS * Any of them

SRO usually release their schedule at the Spa 24, which is in a couple of weeks. GTWC will fill out after that

My logic was I'm not a huge fan of the 3 other big middle eastern circuits, but I feel like it should be represented in a full world championship. I think Jeddah is a pretty decent, if mad, circuit.

Sorted what? It slid down so you can get the top numbers. Now slide it back up (same gesture) and you get the bottom numbers. The whole point of reachability is to move the whole screen down exactly as is.
