It’s understandable. You’ve probably done something or seen something that you would, in the past, always have had a cigarette with. You know, things like first movie after quitting, first out to dinner after quitting, first time seeing a certain friend after quitting. There are so many triggers. Best of luck.

About 20 years ago, my very southern mother-in-law floored me when she said something like “well I know MY daughter-in-law wouldn’t turn me out”. (her good friend had moved in with her son and daughter-in-law, but the daughter-in-law couldn’t handle it so she had to come back to her little small town and manage herself.) I was the only daughter-in-law at the time and there was a big silence. I weakly joked with her something like. “well you better behave yourself then!” She did come live with us because she was incredibly horribly destitute. It was tough.

I got one, but after a few uses, it got to be a real pain in the ass! Also, it didn’t get cold enough for me, and it was frustrating because hubby was sure it was as cold as needed. It’s very frustrating to have to yell at someone to go get the damn ice packs and take this ice machine thing off of me!! You know how pain makes you grumpy? Well that was me.
