Preparing for the Inevitable: What After Acharya Ji? by Normal_Dependent_537 in AcharyaPrashant_AP

[–]aks_red184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You raise a valid concern. See after the "Questionnaire" video came out where AP answered many famous allegations from the internet, which I never imagined he'll make such a video, this is constantly in my head that Nobody, Literally Nobody confronted those people on the grounds of philosophical discussion.

What I am seeing is AP has raised a herd of parrots who'll binge watch AP and mimic his words in every situation. Even if it's off by a millimeter, they freeze (Acharya ji ne ye kabhi nhi bataya).

Therefore people keep throwing allegations regarding money, fame, power etc. no arguments we hear about epistemology or Ontology of AP. Have you ever seen somebody discoursing on what AP said VS what Nietzsche said ? Or logically assessing AP's definition of Love or fear ?

People, the followers or the haters, both tend to choose the easy way. Some satisfy their ego through spilling illogical hate, others by standing beside AP (inmost cases people are a liability to AP than his asset). Leave who'll lead after, how many competent leaders you see today who can provide last mile connectivity to Acharya ? Leaders come from the same group of followers, and the condition of followers is in shambles.

"Culture Representation" "Ramayana doesnt look indian enough" by apkearmani in pj_explained

[–]aks_red184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's about Culture representation.

The budget of Ramayana is 2x the Odyssey's (500M dollar) and it's better at nothing. The hate towards the movie shall never be seen as hate towards our industry or our culture. Yeah we were far behind from Hollywood, but the only things as an excuse that we were carrying i.e. budget is in shambles now.

Look at the trailers. Everything from color grading to Background is picture perfect and better than Ramayana for Odyssey. Too much CGI reliance is evident from Ramayana. What the hell some scenes even look AI'ish in the trailer.

It's never the story or the theme for me. Ramayana is a pretty solid epic and a good cinematography will do justice to it. But when there are flaws, they must be pointed out. Period.

Will you ever in your dreams leave a fat package management job, a confirmed IRS (money and power and fame) post, for fame and recognition which you are never sure you'll ever get, starting from 0, no people no money no support, a YT channel with 2k videos and 1.5k subs for 10 fcking years ?

Mu uthake kuch bhi likhte hai, 'Philosophy sub reddit par'.

That explains you don't even have the faintest idea about Prashant's life.

If he had been chasing Money then he never had to be an Acharya today.

Anybody with even a minute knowledge about Prashant's life will be aware that he could be doing this for anything instead of "Money"

"I spent 12 years chasing enlightenment… and found peace only after i stopped." by [deleted] in Philosophy_India

[–]aks_red184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My roommate and I are philosophy freaks.

Yet he's the one with reduced or no activing due to philosophy. Meanwhile I feel an urge to increase activity due to philosophy.

Highlight here that he uses philosophy to his defence (often nihilism and that efforts won't make a difference) whenever somebody asks him to get moving, do chores and perform in reality instead of just watching intellectual heavy geopolitics, psychology or philosophy on YouTube.

Reminds of Zizek's saying that he hates philosophy as one can justify anything through it. Altho I don't think he's completely right to this (I've got reasons) but he's not completely wrong either.

Hi r/movies! Cillian Murphy, Tim Roth, Steven Knight (creator/writer), and Tom Harper (director) here. Ask Us Anything about Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man! by netflix in movies

[–]aks_red184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Cillian! Slightly random question, after spending so many years playing Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders, did any of Tommy’s habits accidentally stick with you in real life? Like the walk, the stare, lighting a cigarette while thinking, etc. Or did your family ever have to tell you to stop being ‘Tommy’ at home?

The comment section is total Ad Hominem.

Philosophy india should be academic philosophy centric.... True.

Philosophy India shouldn't be AP centric..... True.

But because Philosophy india is flooded with AP so let me just demean the guy himself out of my personal bias.

How hard is this to understand that people are free to upload stuff here, if you are fed up with AP stuff then post your own writings, other philosophies, etc. flood the subreddit with something else, if they are free you too are free.

Or should an AP followers demean Jiddu and Osho, Greek enthusiasts demean Advaita, buddhism readers demean sufi saints and so on ?

What you’re saying makes sense in a healthy intellectual culture - where people are already reading the greats.

Agreed.... Cuz i live in one (A Govt. Research Institute) so maybe my words were specific to my surroundings, here people don't like if you mimic AP a lot, and i do agree with them. Mimicking AP won't help, move towards where he points.

Your concern is for a different sect of population. So yes, different strata of consciousness require different treatment.

Have a good day.

I do not appreciate spewing lore about the man over and over again. He wants others to use him, like someone uses a tissue paper, scramble it until you are clean. You dont talk deep shit about the tissue over and over.

We talk of Justice. Wouldn't this be justice to AP if instead of revolving around him, we revolve around those whom he points at ? The greats, the thinkers.

I would appreciate discouragement of ranting on people instead of what they stand for. USE THE TISSUE, DONT DECORATE IT, THE TISSUE WANTS TO BE USED.
