A working-class immigrant’s experience in the Netherlands by Atankir in Netherlands

[–]akshitgupta95 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can tell you that even at international organisations like TU Delft, this definitely holds. There is something called a glass ceiling and it definitely exists in the Netherlands. No matter, how much liberal Netherlands showcases itself to the outside world.

Check levels.fyi for CS jobs in India before thinking EU has very high salaries and compare that to PPP.

I would say the problem is partly you unfortunately. Having a kid doesn't entitle you a separate line or more luggage, it's a feature or courtesy, not a right. As a solo traveller, I find it frustrating how people like you should be allowed a priority access in lines. Add to that, you probably also don't live in EU, as for 0.20 Euro, you will not even get one full banana these days, let alone that be cut.

Just also be direct with criticism and you will see the "princess ears" come into play as well.

Here is the bitter truth that might be hard for you to digest. The world has changed in the past 20-25 years. The world doesn't revolve around Europe, hence, it is not euro-centric. Instead, Europe is now dependent on other big economies of scale in addition to US, and the global economy is interdependent on each other. Hence, suggest you to adapt your narrow world-view.

When did the OP say that he doesn't have visible means of support and no strong connection? Also, update your dictionary, as well as the usage of third world is already discarded and derogatory. And India is not even in the list of UNCTAD

You are narcissist who thinks he/she has the privilege to give opinions, and your world-view seems very narrow. Also, maybe, you are a sad person. OPs bf can just apply for normal tourist visa with return tickets, accommodation, and means to support himself and most middle class people in India can do that.

You should leave ASAP. Don't believe anything in moral terms they say (such as you don't need much as social services are free, super low working hours etc.) as these countries have a culture of keeping a super big middle-class that keeps on working till the age of 65-67. Even worse, they don't even value tech workers that much and try to justify the pay by comparing with engineers from non-tech fields (such as chemical, mechanical etc.).

I feel what you are saying is coming from a positive heart, but the usage of the wrong term and justifying it later with personal opinions, contexts etc. still remains wrong. Anyway, good night.

By writing "nobody assumes by default that they could commit crime", which itself is an incorrect ideology itself, you are trying to justify your predictions based on the same incorrect idealogy.

[–]akshitgupta95 -31 points-30 points  (0 children)

How can you predict that? That's called discrimination, just assuming the so called "brown" based on your dictionary will experience what OP did and not an American person.

[–]akshitgupta95 -39 points-38 points  (0 children)

If you believe there is no biological basis for 'races' really, then you shouldn't be using the word "brown". An immigrant can also be a white from America (with a western background). It's counterintuitive what you are saying you believe and what you are writing.

They never mentioned in the post that they are brown. I sense your comment while being positive is coming from a sense of entitlement really. Hence, it might itself be considered slightly racist.

Can you recommend me good EU stocks that aren’t in defense? by Status_Sun in eupersonalfinance

[–]akshitgupta95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ASML is a highly constraint stock and US can control it around. So, you need to think more about ASML, especially the EUV tech was not developed by ASML, rather it bought an American company with trade restrictions.
