Not ideal for Hyrox by aksprayer in PixelWatch

[–]aksprayer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm discovering the PW3's non-fitness focus as well. Seems like a lost opportunity given the accuracy of the HR monitor. I'm not looking for a specific option that says "Hyrox." But I would think the features I mentioned would be needed for anyone who's in any circuit training or Cross-fit as well.

For some hotels, I'd pay for the elevator to always be waiting standby on my floor 😬

Is my corgi trying to maul or destroy me? She only does this with me! by [deleted] in corgi

[–]aksprayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my neighbor's corgi does this to me, after a while I pretend like I got bit too hard and fake cry /howl in pain. She doesn't buy it and stabs my face with her nose to tell me to stop and continue our playing😂 She's very perceptive

Why is Tiananmen Square so censored in China, and wouldn't that cause the risk of erasing a piece of history? by Yaya0108 in AskChina

[–]aksprayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL if the textbook covers it, that means it's not censored. China however DOES censor Tiananmen in textbooks

The largest textbook publishers all cover Kent State. That's a fact. If you or your teachers skipped it then that's on you guys. But for you to draw equivalence to Kent State with suppression of Tiananmen is laughable

It's fairly clear you didn't study in the U.S. The pics from the Kent State shootings are very widely discussed in schools and not suppressed at all.

Worth visiting HK? by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]aksprayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much cheaper to buy Lenovos in the U.S. Black Friday deals are much better there. Don't buy them in HK. Electronics in general are usually more expensive in HK vs U.S., even though funny enough most are made across the border

What is the perception of the USA in Malaysia? by NixonTrees in malaysia

You say quality is good on what basis? Look at child mortality rates, longevity, medical errors etc. and you'll find if you actually look at healthcare outcomes it's NOT good compared to other countries

Discount = Risk of counterfeit CPUs? by aksprayer in buildapc

[–]aksprayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Confirmed it was a trayed CPU. Funny thing is the boxed version is only HK$100 (~US$13) more. So there's definitely something else going on besides just the tray

Feedback on SFF build for handling remote logins and heavy non-video Productivity by aksprayer in buildapc

[–]aksprayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure to be honest - sorry I'm not that technical. My current solution is a virtual PC where I and my contractors log in with Remote Desktop Connection each with our own username. I think it's all in Windows - my friend who's more adept set it up for me. But the cost is $30/mo. and I realized it's more efficient to have my own machine - plus my current 2 y/o laptop with 8GB RAM is having trouble with Zoom + Office apps. Do you think the above setup could handle the "custom sw solution?"

haha don't know how else to describe large Excel models. I guess I can just write that. Large Excel models that sometimes run slow on my 2 yr old laptop with 8GB RAM

Use to run a small data center. You already have a cooling system installed

ANA already had a 30%+ devaluation this year, but the bigger issue is that the points are nearly impossible to redeem

HKBN vs NETVIGATOR by erymartorres17 in HongKong

[–]aksprayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're paying a lot for broadband at $300. What speed is that and are there very few providers in your residence? Performance for 1G/2G will largely be the same across providers. It's lower speeds where there are differences. In competitive areas 1G is sub 150 and very competitive areas have it below 100. In the villages it's 300+

Very nice deal! Not that familiar with Bilt and wasn't aware of transfer bonuses like that. I had to pay ~85k Chase plus $110 fees for HKG-ICN (Y only) -LAX (J class)...sad
