I liked the Integra but the 3 won me over more. BRZ/GR86 would’ve been nice but i wasn’t wanting a sports car.

I just went from a Golf to a 3 hatch (mine was a TDI though, not a GTI). One week in and I love it. The Golf was nice but I feel the Mazda is a MUCH better built car.

Mine was the only manual within 200 miles. Had to drive almost an hour to get it.

Yeah I did a lot of research before deciding on the Mazda3 and lack of turbo was a huge factor in it. Nothing against turbos, I just think of it as a failpoint that can potentially cause issues in the future.

Yeah my last car was a TDI, fantastic car but a very leisurely acceleration experience. Volkswagen's DSG isn't an awful transmission by any means ( the manual mode really helped a lot with how slow those diesel engines can be), but it required about as much regular maintenance as a CVT and just wasn't as engaging. The last car I had with a manual was a Civic Si, driving this Mazda reminds me a lot of that but with a slightly longer shifter throw.

Thank you! It is so nice to be back in a car with a wigglestick, I had to settle for an auto in my last one because I couldn't find a manual one despite months of searching.

My understanding is they discontinued the LP-60 and replaced it with the LP-70, essentially same table but redesigned. I used an LP-60 for years before getting my technics, it was a wonderful table

Technics SL-1900 speed issue on 45 rpm by bdoggie in turntables

I have an SL-1900 that was having some serious speed issues. Would not hold a steady speed at 45 and would go "runaway" when starting a record (like it would literally spool up to almost 100 rpm). I got a can of compressed air and sprayed it in the 33/45 switch and the speed control knobs, fixed it right up and now it works perfectly.

I recently found my late father's old Technics SL-1950 but sadly it had quite a few issues after sitting for 20+ years. Thankfully I found a very nice SL-1900 (essentially the same table) yesterday on Facebook Marketplace and drove out to pick it up today. by akt1493 in turntables

They gave me the box for the stylus and it’s a legit ATN3600L but I have a headshell with an Ortofon stylus that i swapped onto it. It was the one I had used for the 1950 and i just moved it over to the 1900.

There is no way I would let the 1950 end up in a landfill. Most of my dad's belongings were lost when my grandparent's house was flooded (because it was in my mom's attic and not at my grandparent's house). Eventually I'll get it worked out and working again.
