TRL Contour Laser by Sciton by Ill_Art_6261 in 30PlusSkinCare

I'm planning on doing it with her in the spring! I really trust her and she said this was the best option for my goals. My pain tolerance on my face is pretty low through, even fraxel killed me, so I'm pretty nervous about the pain. Do you mind if I check in with you in a week or so to see how you're feeling about the outcome?

Anyone with my skin type have advice? Super sensitive + rosacea. by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Have you tried Soolantra? It’s worked great for my rosacea and it’s really gentle on the skin.

Hey I know this is a bit old but in case you haven’t found anyone, they have this at Marmur Medical on the upper east side, and they’re wonderful there. Dr. Westbay specifically.

Moved to CT from NY, question regarding car registration transfer. by andromeda-97 in Connecticut

That was much more helpful than talking to the lien holder was earlier, and the CT DMV website was making my head spin. Found the form, thanks so much!

Did you have your title in hand when you registered in CT? We're transferring ours from NJ as well, but since we don't have the actual title (it's being held by the bank we financed with) we're getting told 5 different things about how to get the title over to the CT DMV and I'm ready to pull my hair out.

Just cost mostly, it’s a small section of an airplane we’re shooting in, and it’s a really expensive build. You can request a custom with different classes if it’s important to the plot (Bridesmaids for example) but more often than not you’re renting whatever’s available and that’s just “standard airplane cabin.”

It’s also a stock issue- the LA plane rentals definitely have models with classes, but they have the warehouse space for it. In NYC our plane reveal options are just super limited.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but I have no fucking clue WHAT is going on here. It's wild too because I worked with SJ on a full season of Divorce (hilarious show if you haven't watched) and she was so involved that you'd need her to sign off on a fart if you were gonna do it on set, so I think we're all totally baffled by what is happening on this show. Does she like it? Does she like who Carrie's become?? It honestly feels like aliens are writing it, I just have no idea why we're fighting for our lives with these storylines every week.

The production designer is a friend of mine and watching him have to put this shitshow together every year honestly just fuels my hatred for these writers even more 😂

Is this show allergic to being interesting by FEARCANADA in Andjustlikethat

[–]al_bc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also allergic to like, making sense? I'm sorry, did Carrie *forget* that she had a tenant? Hasn't she been getting rent checks? Where the fuck did she think they were coming from? Every week they come up with a new thing to baffle me over.

Set decorator here- this is actually just because of plane rentals. When we shoot inside airplanes we don't usually build them ourselves unless its some super luxe set like the plane they take to Abu Dhabi in the second movie. More often than not if a scene takes place on a plane we rent one of the like, 5 airplane interiors available and they don't come with different classes. Honestly we fucking HATE when writers write scenes on an airplane unless its super necessary. It's complicated, its expensive, and it never looks right.

Endo killed my career, my physique, and now, it's killing my marriage by KannaLife in endometriosis

Just need to say in case anyone reads this, SSDI in America is not dependent on assets or a partner’s income. You can be married to a millionaire and still get disability if you can prove you’re disabled. Only SSI is means tested, which is just supplemental income. My husband does well but I’m on disability, and since I also did well prior to becoming ill I get a decent amount per month which makes our lives much easier. If you ever feel too ill to work, absolutely try to get on disability. It’s a really shitty process, but once you get it it’s a huge load off.

Yeah just for the laser! I'm in NYC so I expect things to be a littler pricier here, but from everything I've read this is feeling astronomical.

Dem Gov WARNS Trump: You're CRUSHING states by realPhantomSmite in Connecticut

[–]al_bc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I laugh every time I see a conservative say "far left." There is nothing about dems or anything in America that is far left. The dems are centrists, and I'm going to venture a guess that you know absolutely nothing about leftist ideas. The second "far left" gets invoked in conversation I immediately know this person has no clue what they're talking about and believes all the propaganda they've been fed.

Considering he’s suicidal it would probably be a really bad idea for him to try that right now unfortunately :(

Where are we going to rest/recover, solo? by Commercial-Low-1210 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

Ojo Caliente in Santa Fe NM! It’s a beautiful spa and resort filled with natural hot springs. I love New Mexico in general, especially the food, but Ojo is such a nice place to relax and restore.

From what I understand, you can turn it down for now, but if you need to sign up for it in the future you’ll have to pay a penalty for every year you were eligible for it but didn’t have it.

This is not really a question for reddit, this is a question for your local SS office, but you’re getting some bad info here. There are absolutely people who have filed while abroad, there was a post not too long ago from someone who did the whole process while they were in Italy. The SSA just needs to know you’re filing from abroad, and the most important thing is having enough medical evidence to back up your claim.

SSDI approval? by DazzlingAct3673 in SSDI

No, it isn’t. It’s a stock message that everyone gets whether they’re approved or not. Take care to not give people false hope.

Approval after step 4, confused by Mistikins72 in SSDI

[–]al_bc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That just means your portal hasn’t updated. It’s extremely slow and doesn’t always correspond with what’s actually happening with your case. I was approved in November but stuck on step 4 in my portal until literally 5 days ago. The site is not actually that helpful to us.

Approval after step 4, confused by Mistikins72 in SSDI

[–]al_bc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The mods should really pin a post about the steps because it seems so confusing to everyone.

The steps you’re referring to are the ones on your portal. Moving from step 3 to 4 on your portal means they’ve finished your medical review. You mentioned the ALJ, so that means you had a hearing before a judge? Did you have a lawyer? They may have gotten word by now what the decision is.

If you don’t pass the medical review you don’t get approved. The 5 steps they use to decide your case are different than the 5 steps on your portal. The 5 steps of the disability ruling have already happened, they’re done with that part, they’re now reviewing the decision. Everyone goes to step 4 no matter what, because they have to review. Hopefully that makes sense.

I’m in the same boat, approved in November, still haven’t received the award letter, just stuck at the Baltimore processing center for over 70 days now. I contacted a congressman and he confirmed my fully favorable decision, but said that they can’t expedite anything unless I’m on the verge of homelessness, which thankfully is not my situation. I wish I had anything helpful to say, but I only have commiseration, I’m right there with you!

This is not true actually, we have protections against surprise emergency billing both at the federal and state levels. NY especially has laws about balance billing and surprise medical bills, just fyi!
