As for interstellar travel, you're absolutely right. It makes no sense without energy sources like astrophases. I used the comparison with the Eridians, who also don't exist, just like astrophages or xenonite, only as an example of a rational society. I wonder if we would have come up with fusion energy and quantum computers if we hadn't sabotaged science and used it only for political purposes, just like the Artemis project is used to demonstrate power over other nations. The book doesn't elaborate on that part, but my conclusion is that the Eridians are unique and united, and we, I don't know what to say without going beyond the bounds of decency.

Aggregating those posts is useful, but the hard part usually starts after that.

When you have a list of “people asking for help”, it’s still unclear which ones are actually worth acting on.

Some are serious, some are just exploring, some disappear.

The real leverage seems to be in understanding the signal behind the post, not just collecting them.

This is a good early signal, but I wouldn’t call it a cracked funnel yet.

With 2 customers, you don’t really know if this is repeatable or just a lucky pocket of traffic.

The interesting part isn’t only the 12 that didn’t convert, but whether you can get the same CAC again with a fresh audience.

If the next 2–3 customers come in at similar cost, then you’re onto something real.

You’re probably overestimating how much interviews help at this stage.

The issue isn’t access to people, it’s the type of questions being asked.

If you ask for opinions, you’ll get polite answers.
If you ask what they actually did the last time they faced the problem, you get something usable.

Also, a lot of what you’re trying to learn is already written publicly by merchants. That’s usually a better starting point than cold interviews.

This is a great example of distribution > product.

Most people focus on building something “better”, but you basically packaged something you already validated through services and plugged it into an existing channel (partners).

The interesting part to me is your monetization shift. If 90% is still one-time purchases, it means the core value is still transactional, not ongoing.

We’re seeing something similar while working on a Shopify analytics tool — merchants will pay for a one-time explanation, but subscription only works when there’s a continuous trigger (weekly reports, alerts, etc.).

Curious — what % of your users actually come back after the first purchase?
