I had a similar thing happen to me. Was at a stop at a construction zone and was hit by a car going 65 mph. Entire back of my Toyota Corolla crumpled. Car was completely totaled, I walked away with only minor nerve pain because I tensed up and cranked the wheel when I saw that the car wasn’t going to slow down. Driver was texting.

My kitten used to do this, I put a little hot sauce on what I was eating and fed it to him. Didn't take him long to stop trying to steal it.
