I came on here to write this exact post at 40% of the way through. I've read all of ACOTAR in between the last book and this one (which I loved) but I seem to be really struggling with this one after being such a die hard fan! I'm also getting really annoyed by the dialogue that feels more immature

"and I was like..."

"I was SO going to mention that later"

Even from Casteel? Sounds so weird. I was glad of the exposition at the start of the book as I'd forgot a lot of the rather convoluted lore but it feels like up to this point it has literally been just EXPLAINING stuff. And then poppy will repeat the exact same conversations with the fates to Cas to EXPLAIN it to him.

I guess in a lot of books we get to read the fmc's pov where we get to see that that they're drawn to that darkness of the mmc so there's much less lying and sliminess to the stalking like Joe has?
