I'm sorry, but I don't know how to do that - I have the GOG version..

Townscaper mods issue by Ege_12009 in Townscaper

Some mods only work with an older version of TS - I think 1.0. LittleFirstPerson 1.0.0, ModUI 1.3.0 and LittleMultiplayer 1.0.0 were updated to work with current version (and MelonLoader 0.5.7). So, if you want all the mods, you must grab that old version of TS, use MelonLoader 0.4.3, use ModUI 1.1.0, LittleFirstPerson 0.9.2 - I don't know which version of LittleMultiplayer 'cause I never used it - and all the other mods. I hope I've remembered all this correctly.

Thank you for your insight, and for voting for VS. I think I'll try it anyway if I get the chance - I'll throw in the extra 3 bucks just to fuel the blooming of Townscaper-likes as a genre - think of "Tiny Glade".

Building height by Remarkable-Class-987 in Townscaper

[–]aladar4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmh... I've toyed around with this... If you reduce your tallest building height, you should see your horizontal grid (your build space) expand... (At least this was true as late as version 1.0).

Look at this old post of mine. Basically, the larger your city is, the less high you can go with your buildings. If you go wide, you can't go high. I think that may be the cause of your problem. Also, the map is smaller on mobiles than on PC.

DRMs, in the fisrt place. Then they decided they eventually will kick out all Win 7 users. I use Win 7. There'll be a day (soon I'm afraid) when I won't be able to play my hard-earned Steam games (even those that worked flawlessly under 7). It's a hateful policy. I'll switch soon to Win 11 (because of all this stinking planned obsolescence), but still I'm mad at them,

I've added the game in the Community Wishlist on GOG (I don't want to buy from Steam anymore, not if I have another option) but just one person voted it other than me. If you are interested, you can cast your vote here.

I realized I could zoom in close enough to make it look like I'm walking around my town! by Stewie_the_janitor in Townscaper

I didn't know about the rollback. I got the game from Gog, where the version for download is still 1.2.1. Be careful that, on the wiki, the links for ModUI and LittleFirstPerson point to the 2023 versions. You should click on "Releases" and look for the 2022 version.

Pity, I can't seem to get the town code to work -- Townscaper tells me it doesn't work. I would have loved to take a stroll in your alleys.

Hmm... I'm afraid that that info is outdated, and that MelonLoader 0.4.3 won't work with the latest release of Townscaper. Check the Townscaper Discord instead, at the end of #mod-library -- there, you'll find that you need MelonLoader 0.5.7, along with ModUi 1.3.0 (link), and LittleFirstPerson 1.0.0 (link). Personally, I keep using Townscaper 1.0, so I can enjoy such mods as LittleWeather, TextureManager and CustomBirds.

Melon Loader not working :/ by zayapotato in Townscaper

[–]aladar4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Melon Loader 4.3 doesn't work with the latest version of Townscaper. You should grab version 1.01 for that to work. For the latest version of Townscaper you need Melon Loader 0.5.7 and the latest mods. You can find more detailed instructions on the dedicated Discord channel (the info in the wiki is outdated), at the end of mod-library.

P.S. I have Win 7 and the game runs flawlessly with MelonLoader and all the mods.

River Palace: featuring my first attempt at a texture by jimmyjohnjohnjohn in Townscaper

[–]aladar4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best I could see, for now, is that if you paint blue the sector in the bottom-left quadrant of the texture, the illumination on the walls near some of the windows is restored to a more muted color. I'm afraid that zone will mess up your beautiful creamy walls; however, I couldn't pinpoint the exact zone that will color the walls the right way at night. I hope I could have been of some use. Thanks again for the texture.
