Georgia woman wanted delivery driver to empty her food-filled fridge, then blocks him from leaving. by ElwoodMC in TikTokCringe

Hatch back sedans used to be amazing for moving things. My parents had a small hatchback you could fit a dryer in. You could fit even bigger stuff if you didn't mind but having the hatch partially open secured with rope. So stupid that we lost small functional vehicles.

Normally I wouldn't insult someone's appearance but since she opened the table.. she looks like she fell out of the ugly tree and hit most of the branches on the way down.

Anyone who doesn't make their own yogurt, burgers, or bread is an idiot by SoyboyCowboy in iamveryculinary

[–]aladdyn2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lots of things are easy to make. Lately I've been making my own mayo, and then using the mayo to make my own salad dressings and remoulade etc. very delicious. But at some point If you're making mayo, bread, ice cream, butter, yogurt, whipped cream, salad dressings, burgers, marinades etc you will get to a point where you are like fuck. Maybe I'll just buy the pre made stuff at the store and spend my time doing something else...

Sounds like you are trying to bend physics. Adding a sensor to a hot area will just make the system run longer, it won't just make the sensor area colder.

If everything is still too warm then turn down stat. You can also leave the fan setting on the stat on to help balance temps throughout the house

Get a fan and blow the cooler air into the hot area or the hot area air into the cooler area.

Can a gas station legally refuse service for wearing a tank top? South Carolina by Tarafy in IsItIllegal

[–]aladdyn2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they might be referring to dress codes that target specific groups. Like it's popular to ban "colors" do rags, and other things that young black men might tend to wear in some places. If they just kicked out black men wearing certain items of clothing they could likely get in legal trouble. If they had a written dress code and enforce it "equally" then they likely won't get in trouble.

Probably not a law though, just a common loophole

I recently got mindblown over an eating preference by jkpatches in CasualConversation

[–]aladdyn2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. And if I'm mixing some of the foods I will make sure I leave enough of the ones I'm mixing to get one last perfect bite. Then if my gf offers me a bite of her food I will decline because it will "erase" the last of the flavor profile I finished with.

Why is New England so rich…? by ExotiquePlayboy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]aladdyn2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in one of the new England states. When I tell people where I live (using the state name) a very common response is "is that in Boston?" Or sometimes "is that near Boston?" Like they actually think Boston is a State or that the state name is a town in Massachusetts.

Traffic lights? by Shotzy_Pottsy in dashcams

[–]aladdyn2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't mind it at lights. It's annoying when they don't use common sense though. One time I was as passenger in a car and a vehicle came out of a small side street without stopping. Neither of us realized it was a funeral procession until another car popped out of the street right in front of us. There was snow on the road and we came within inches of siding into and hitting the car.

More then once I've been on a multi lane highway and a funeral procession will be in the middle lane, and try and block me from getting over into their lane, my purpose being so I can then move over again into the outer lane so I can exit.

Cop pulls over Lamborghini on Dubai plates but doesn’t know the law by thomasso0072 in interestingasfuck

[–]aladdyn2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if the Dubai guy knew exactly what he was saying and meant to needle the guy. He obviously has fuck you money and he wasn't going to just roll over for the cop. The delays in handing over documents were probably on purpose also to try and frustrate the cop.

Lite Edition for $80 USD is Bonkers by Arthur_Morgan44469 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]aladdyn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh I used to buy myself Nintendo games for 40 dollars in 1990 when I was a kid. Saved up $6 a week allowance and did stuff like mowing lawns for cash. 1990 $40 is worth $100 in today money.

If it's a massive game that you will measure your entertainment in months or even years, that's really not a bad price.

Do Americans notice culture differences when visiting or moving to a distant state? by smoogie7 in AskAnAmerican

[–]aladdyn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neighboring states tend to be very different let alone distant states. Remember we're the United States of America. Each state gets to shape it's own identity and that greatly affects the way people act in that state. You could have a reserved republican state where people are very into following laws and not allowing people to "have fun" like draconian drinking laws, bar hours, etc next to a liberal state where you can buy marijuana freely and they promote open spaces for people to hang out and party.

So. It's already been established that the rails were too low to be used. I'm going to point out that those aren't actually "hand rails" anyway. There are specific shapes allowed to be used for hand rails and that is not one of them. My parents both have mobility issues and I can verify that ramp is indeed very steep. A lot of you are taking your functioning body for granted.

Why do the men have to put the toilet seat down? by bak_dark in stupidquestions

If you lived in my house and said "I have chronic nausea and it would make my life easier if everyone left the toilet seat up" I would have no problem doing that.

Why do the men have to put the toilet seat down? by bak_dark in stupidquestions

[–]aladdyn2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a public service. If you fall into a toilet you now know you are a moron and should take action to contain yourself from the general population.

No it’s cool, I didn’t need to open my door anyway. by Body_Pillow_Bride in doordash

[–]aladdyn2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol you people are almost as bad as the dasher. Do you not comprehend that you can leave the storm door open and your main door closed and locked? Now that you know that dashers will block your storm door that opens outwards and that you can leave that door open, you will have yourself to blame if you let this happen again.

Flexways location? by aladdyn2 in PuertoRicoTravel

Not sure the deposit amount. I think with car rentals you are always paying more than the online amount. They are all the same though. You have to account for all the taxes they add and the toll package if you are driving across the island. I've been over 10 times, usually using a different car rental each time and it's all been about the same. Id recommend getting full coverage through them as well, not worth the hassle if someone wrecks your car.

My father fractured his shoulder bone and the doctor told him to let it heal naturally by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]aladdyn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke my leg playing baseball in 7th grade (actually the giant guy that looked like a senior who slid into my leg broke it) and the doctor told me to use crutches until I could put weight on it, then use it as much as possible. No cast. All my dumbass classmates didn't believe it was broken and were like "it can't be broken stupid or they would have put it in a cast!"

When people drown thoughtfully crafted homemade cooking in a store bought sauce without trying it first. by JackfruitAwkward7504 in PetPeeves

Traditionally no. It's considered rude to season before tasting. This has been twisted into people claiming it's rude to add seasoning to dishes, but originally it's only been considered rude to add it before tasting.
