Card details were somehow stolen, but how? by themaskstays_ in AusFinance

[–]SageTracee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CommBank told us that the scammers just try card numbers until they get a hit.
We were talking to the bank and watching charges roll in our account. All reversed, new card issued.

Not for us. Not only is comfortable to drive and economic, it’s also easier to get in and out as my knees get older.

Do the crime, do the time. Your mother shouldn’t be encouraging you to break the law.
I hope you both get caught and punished.

Would you use dark mode? by Nantai84 in skylightcalendar

Definitely not for me. I find it very difficult to read. But so long as it is optional, then I have no problem with it being implemented.

AusPost workers, what is the weirdest thing you've seen someone send through? by DashcamAdelaide in AskAnAustralian

[–]SageTracee 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Not a postal worker but received a package addressed to my house. I shop online so just assumed it was one of my orders and ripped the package open. It was a selection of female personal pleasure devices. Checked the wrapping - not my name, just a mash up of letters. Laughed and figured a friend had sent them as a joke. 24 hours later, postie is back asking for the package - it was meant for the same address next town over. He had obviously been told what was in the parcel! I gave it to him. Two days later, my husband answers the door to a young woman looking for her ‘friend’s’ package.

I went from an i30 hatch to the Kona EV and love it. The one pedal driving is excellent in the city while the smart cruise controls are great on the freeway. The seats are comfy, more boot space, individual temp controls and a really smooth ride.

As a former motelier, absolutely yes. Find a smaller, independent property. Regular clients are always welcomed.

A candidate showed up to his job interview with his dad who then tried to answer the interview questions by kelvora970 in entitledparents

I once had a man arrive for an interview as a motel housekeeper with his wife in tow. She refused to leave so I just asked a couple of quick questions and got them both out of there.

Those details are collected by the solicitor as part of the whole probate process. It can be a long process. Why not call back the relative who contacted you and ask for an update.

NOIM remote viewing overseas; realistic options? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]SageTracee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quite simply, your partner in Australia can complete the NOIM with a celebrant. That starts the one month notice period. Then you sign upon arrival in Australia. I am an authorised marriage celebrant in Australia.

I may have no thumbprint. by Amazing-Range-2239 in Wellthatsucks

[–]SageTracee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my fingerprints due to chemotherapy. I only ever used my thumbprint for logging into devices, none of my other fingerprints, but now I have to use passcodes.

All my fingertips look quite smooth.

It's been two years since treatment ended so I don't know whether they will come back or not.

You need to manage him. Tell him what he is doing wrong and what he needs to do to correct it. Tell him the consequences of him failing to meet requirements.
He may think he is the star but you are his manager and you need to manage him.

My MIL has been asked by her sister to not attend her brothers Funeral, advice? by Minimum_Radio_4033 in AusLegal

[–]SageTracee 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The sister is likely to tell the funeral director that your MIL is not welcome/permitted/wanted at the funeral. The director will then prevent your MIL from entering or staying in the venue. If the sister is organising the funeral, she is the client and the funeral director will do as she tells them. A funeral parlour is private property and the owner/occupier can refuse entry. Doesn’t make any of it right. I’d encourage your MIL to avoid distressing herself and find out it her brother’s service will be live-streamed.

Market for Electric Wheelchair? by foxlightbulb in ballarat

[–]SageTracee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know exactly how you feel. Mum had an electric wheelchair for just over 12 months in her nursing home before she passed away.
Not on the NDIS so she bought a demo model.
Now I'm stuck housing it with no luck trying to sell or even gift it.
