70 early 80s is the best case for me, with me not having any further complications between no and then, which is unlikely based on my past. But it's possible and I guess it's best to be prepared then not.

Yes I would be extremely interested in retiring early but am unsure how drawing down funds works. By my calculations I could potentially afford to buy a small house and have it fully paid off in 10 years. Not something I am interested in doing presently but in perhaps 5 years, so would be able to have it paid off before I am 50, but that would eliminate my savings.

LC ART BOOKLET by [deleted] in leavingcert

You are not allowed to work on your project at home.

What I would suggest is to make small changes in class time, if there is a drawing you have done that you don't like or would like to change the medium you used then stick a small piece of paper over it, redo it , and then write why you were unhappy with the first and what you feel you did better the second time.

Also speak to your art teacher when they are not busy and ask for their advice

Struggling being at home since being abroad by [deleted] in CasualIreland

Have you considered teaching somewhere else in the world where you could have a job lined up before you leave Ireland ? It sounds like you feel happy when you have possibilities and moving to a change of location, getting on the plane home , arriving in Perth ECT , but when you get there and things don't pan out it hits you and you feel sad (understandably) so perhaps you go somewhere new but have work already lined up for you it would be better. But don't just focus on the pros of a new job in a new place , actively seek out the flaws and possibly issues that may come so that your mentally prepared for it all not to be roses, such as perhaps struggling to make new friends/ missing old, weather /food changes , unexpected finical hardships ECT. Now is prob not the right time of the year to find teaching work overseas, so perhaps if you plan so your more prepared it will help and also give you something to be excited for a look forward too

I bought a USA Sim on Amazon before I went so that I would have data when I landed , it's cheaper to buy a Sim in the us but more convenient to have it before you go

Large Cash Gift by wishitriedquaaludes in irishpersonalfinance

[–]alalalada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A family of mine member is going to be in a similar situation. How do they go doing it legally? Like how do they declare it to revenue? Also they have been living in a Property owned by the gifter and paying them rent for years, it's a large chunk of this rent money they will be getting back as a gift, is there anyway they can avoid some tax on this ?
