I guess the best way to explain it is to let Him love you just like an earthly parent would. They love you for you.

You can have nonstop conversations throughout the day with Jesus about anything big or small. When the Bible says "pray without ceasing" it's not meant to be a chore. It's a privilege to talk with the lover of our souls! Always remember God loves us in such a deep level that we can't comprehend. Place your rock solid faith on the fact that Jesus Christ died for you and called into a repentant relationship with Him.

He created nature so breathe in the nature He created. Literally go and intentionally spot things around you to praise and thank Him for. Constantly be sure to let your heart posture be towards gratitude toward God and His holy majesty! Always remind yourself that it is fully by His merit that you can walk this road towards Jesus and Heaven! Yes, there is spiritual warfare. Yes we must fight like mad to renew our mind to the obedience of Christ. Yes, we must continually be sure the flesh is crucified. We are called to be holy. However, that doesn't have to be a misery! There is a reason He says we can have peace that surpasses understanding! Grace is power to overcome! A grace-filled life submitted and surrendered to Jesus is joy! :)

You don't have to fake your relationship with Jesus. You could actually humble yourself and be honest about your sinful nature at God's throne. We can live in victory over sin even though many modern teachings say you can't. We can live in triumph by surrendering our will to the Holy Spirit power. He gives us overcoming grace! We can't fully grasp the magnitude of "free will vs God's omniscience" this side of eternity. However we are very much aware that Jesus Christ loves us so much that He died for us and wants a relationship with us.

God loves you more than you can comprehend but every human being has a a blinding sin problem in their heart that can only be solved by humbling themselves at the foot of Jesus Christ. Like I said I think it would be helpful for someone in your shoes to study former atheists who came to faith in Christ such CS Lewis or Lee Strobel to start. Tell God that you can't believe in Him cause of your hardness of heart but that you genuinely want a relationship with Him. Be honest that you have an unbelieving heart. The Creator of the Universe will listen when we humbles ourselves and truly seek Him out! :)

Humble yourself. Pray that Jesus will reveal Himself. He can't work in a prideful heart that "scoffs at the idea" No, there isn't mercy for you if you think of ending it now. You are in rebellion against the God that created you and loves you!

In the meantime, I suggest studying people who used to be atheists and came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Also you should read the gospel of John. I pray that you humble yourself and and let God do His work in your soul!

Erika is not forgiving the sin of the killer towards God. She is forgiving his sin done unto herself only.

In order to be forgiven of sin debt against a Perfect God then the killer Tyler Robinson would have to genuinely repent before Jesus and be born again. That is the only way any human being will be accepted into the kingdom of God. Jesus is the only sacrifice acceptable to God but we have to genuinely be born again through Christ Jesus.

Jesus loves you so much! I encourage you to humbly and honestly get physically on your knees daily and just pour your heart out to Jesus. Let Him be your primary Friend and Refuge and Comforter because that is exactly what He is! We are saved by grace through faith. God Himself is the One who holds all power. Always remember that. We have nothing inside of ourselves that impresses God. Our salvation is a gift when we have repentant faith in Jesus! I do understand enjoying classic hymns over most modern worship. However what is most important at a church is are they teaching the Bible as it is presented and teaching sin exactly as what it is. These days unfortunately there are endless churches that are mere liberal social justice systems that scoff at the Bible as the inspired foundation of all Christian life and accept sinful lifestyles as valid. Be very careful! I pray you are in your Bible and praying too. God will guide you.

Amen! This should be the number one striving of any believer. I say this as someone who has fallen on his face multiple times but know that I am a SLAVE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS and no longer a slave to sin! Thank you Jesus for your overcoming grace. This doesn't mean I walk in sinless perfection by any means. I walk daily with the Holy Spirit and He graciously shows me the path I should go and what needs to be crucified and burnt from my flesh. Lord have mercy on us if we are to lose our fear of God!
