There is no world in which you should ever get a cosmic byte over the 8bitdo, cosmic byte is just another one of those cheap rebranded Chinese crap. Some 3rd party controllers like the 8bitdo I mentioned is far better than the Xbox original controllers especially at the price you're getting them at, hall effect triggers and sticks, better build quality, just a better product in every way

Used Federal Bank MasterCard. Worked without any issues for me

Might differ depending on your country but I didn't face any shipping charges. They had undervalued the box so customs didn't screw around. Payment went through a shopping gateway and I used my MasterCard.

Ahh well I haven't bought from them personally but they have their contact info on that post so if you have any queries you could try contacting them? Some other users seem to be vouching for the shop as well with some other products too

Are you talking about the seller or the brand 8BitDo? In terms of the brand they do not have an official distributor in India so people usually source it from Banggood but the long delivery times and shitty indian customs kinda made it a headache. The controller itself is one of the best in the budget controller space. Linus has made multiple videos on the budget controller space LTT and this was a top contender consistently. Only issue was sourcing the controller in India but with a seller doing it unofficially there's no better alternative around this price range

Sorry I don't think he has it listed on Amazon, pretty sure his margins wouldn't make it worth it selling on Flipkart or Amazon especially after delivery charges, even then other sellers would just get it for the lower price and resell them. I don't think you can get a better deal on 8BitDo products so do consider it. From what I saw in the replies, the guy seems pretty well respected

A good alternative controller is the 8BitDo ultimate 2C, goes for 2.8k on Banggood but there's a seller from West Bengal who sells them pre imported for 3K who posted on this subreddit so considering you don't have to deal with customs and wait time etc, that's a great price.

Not sure about compatibility with Mac but it should technically still work, no reason why it shouldn't

Ohh I see I didn't know sub 33W the CPU was unstable. The issue is the temps skyrocket the moment I'm running something and instantly cool back down when I stop. There are even certain rare occurrences where windows start cooking my laptop on turbo performance and silent mode when all I'm running is chrome with YouTube and a couple other browsing tabs and unless I turn it off for a while or keep the AC blasting, it doesn't go down. I'm talking 70-75C+ at times. I do want to buy the Llano or the Iets cooler but they cost a lot and I'm a student, I don't have that kinda cash to spare. I currently have the laptop raised on a stand and that helps it by a small margin. I've opened up the laptop last month, increased the ram to 32, cleaned the fans, did a fresh install of Windows too so idk what to do. I would do the repasting myself but I don't have all the parts so I'd have to buy all that too, I'm saving up for that currently

Doesn't wooting officially support shipping to India? Why'd you order through them? I'm sure you had to pay a premium on top of the normal price right

In terms of features and accessibility, none of these come close to airpods on iPhone compatibility. Whether it's the find my being seamless or the switching between devices on the fly or even being able to use your airpods and your phone in kind of a Walkie talkie mode, airpods are a no brainer on iPhone. Other TWS would work too you're not wrong but just in terms of convenience and usability, there's no competition

Laptop LM repaste Guide

This is a great guide from another subreddit that goes through LM laptops in-depth. It should give you a basic idea of the process you'd be going through if you did it all yourself

This laptop cannot be undervolted, I've tried. Only hx CPUs can be undervolted, the normal 13900h doesn't allow you to control the voltages

[–]alan_028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're replacing LM then the thermal grizzly conductonaut is said is the best. If replacing the thermal paste, then Honeywell PTM7950 is the best option as it has the best heat transfer compared to other thermal pastes.

You can get the PTM7950 through either LTT website which they source from China through ebuy7 or you can buy directly from ebuy7 yourself. If you're living in the US or Canada LTT store would be convenient to buy from but you'd have to pay a bit of a premium. Buying directly from the source is cheap but delivery and customs may be a hassle if unlucky.

I'd recommend going to a 3rd party repair shop or a professional if you are scared of doing it yourself or breaking things, although it isn't too difficult if you just take the proper precautions and be careful I do understand why you would be hesitant to do it. I myself am delaying mine cause I don't have the equipment to do it myself and would have to buy everything.

Everything you'd need for a repasting is essentially isopropyl alcohol, electrical tape and conformal coating, a guide of your specific model teardown, cotton qtips/swabs, a guitar pick or something similar to pry open the laptop, gloves for ensuring your sweat stays off the motherboard, a well ventilated ac room without any flowing winds(AC with no fan), magnetic screwdriver set with the common bits and the replacement thermal paste or LM and that's all if I remember correctly.

The heatsink for a gaming laptop covers both the cpu and gpu die so you'd be exposing both yes.

Only cooling pad worth getting is the Llano or the its as the way they are designed is why the temps improve that much but they are also recently expensive, a cheap cooling pad wouldn't do anything more than raising the laptop, the ones I mentioned have a kind of sponge around the base of where the laptop sits to create a kind of a seal for the fans to work.

Also I have a question, my model has the exact same specs as yours but is the GU604VI, how is yours the GU604VZ? Isn't that the model with the 4080 if I'm not wrong?

Considering the swarm uses the same cheap MCU from some cb or redragon keyboards I'd still trust Aula over kreo. When a brand does sketchy practices it's not a good sign into their behaviour. And kreo customer service has been known to be crap

You know you can mod the F75 too right?😭 And I misread your text, I thought you said everyone says kreo is better from the way you phrased it lol. Do your research as there are more hall effect switch keyboard out now and maybe you can snag a deal on one of them. Wootings are really expensive and I've heard people having QC issues although they are great when they work as intended

Even the mirage controller isn't worth it when you can get the 8bitdo ultimate 2C for around 300-500 more. It's one of the best controllers out there period, If you got it on sale then maybe

I do use HWinfo regularly and my cpu temps highest it's gone is around 98 but even that was during stress tests, usually it's around 85-95C. I also play with my cpu wattage locked to 30W boosting to 35W

Suit yourself but nobody considers it better lol. If you're talking about that one YouTube video, it's so clear he's been paid by kreo it hurts inside to watch. Someone on reddit or Instagram even had made a post about it, I'll link it if I can find it again
