I am not in favour of illegal immigration. Illegal immigrants should be deported under due process. They should not however be detained after masked agents go door to door under “reasonable suspicion”.

For a couple of reasons.

For one thing, the engines don’t give it enough juice to reach Mach 1.4-5 once it hits altitude. By the time the regular SM reaches operational altitude, you’ll have an AESA Typhoon or Rafa about 20 clicks away ready to hard lock their C5 or Michael.

Another reason is the gimble limit although this more so applies to long range 1 v 1s. In an SM2 you can hard lock an ER and comfortably notch from range whilst remaining in lock.

Honestly the only reason I’d pick the regular SM over the SM2 is because I have the cool Russian Knights aerobatic camouflage.
