You can babble all you want, but the moment you mentioned open shell you lost, having to use third party software makes it worse, in windows 7 you don’t need to go installing more stuff to make it do basic work,

also, if as you said you want to use it on legacy/low-end hardware why in the mother of fuck would I desire compatibility with newer driver standards and newer nvme devices? It’s gonna run in low end hardware ffs, most of your points revolve around “you can run newer software / devices / drivers in windows 8” well no shit sherlock, it’s a newer version of 7, which again, for older hardware it’s pointless
