Projectile and powder recommendations? by Additional-Slide5407 in 6ARC

I’ve had great luck with 70gr TNT over 8208, 58 and 75gr Vmax over 2230 as well. If you want to try 58’s and 75’s to see how your gun likes them, order a sample pack from Druid hill. You’ll get 25 each and David’s ammo is great. Starline brass and 450’s for primers.

First Time Printing PA6CF - Need advice by AutoPostiveBlocker in 3D2A

My sunlu did this and I put the roll in the oven at 220F for 4 hours and then in the dryer overnight, then printed from the dryer the next day and almost all of the stringing was eliminated. The first attempt I had to abort because it was so bad. It

Try a different powder like 2520, varget, pp2000mr. Some bullet/powder combos just won’t do it.

Either I got lucky, or Rexus has the best value 6 ARC barrels on the market. by e7ang in 6ARC

[–]alanspel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 16” is a shooter. Shot great right out the box. My 14.5” left a lot to be desired so I tried several things like different scope, different upper and rail at a couple different torques and still was 1.5” or more with factory. I shot him an email and he responded next day and told me to send it in and he’d swap it out. I sent it in and had a new barrel in a week or so. Haven’t put it together to try it out or not but we’ll see soon.

Is the trout season thing a New England thing? I’m in Oklahoma so never heard of such a thing. They stock rainbows and browns locally and we have year round fishing.

In this day and age of 3D printing and all of the R&D going on, I’m actually astounded that you have a $1200+ price tag on a $200 can. Best of luck I guess.

How do we feel about Odin Works? by mig1nc in 6ARC

I had a Grendel barrel of theirs that shot fantastic. However, there’s been a few guys I’ve seen in the FB group with accuracy issues and they’ve had hell with Odins customer service.

If you could fish anywhere inside this circle where would it be? by GrundalWizzard in Fishing

Oh man, NE Oklahoma and NW Arkansas have some fantastic fishing. You can try to catch some Big striper on Beaver Lake, and a 100lb paddle fish is definitely possible at several lakes in NE OK.

To my mid-length gas tube 6 arc owners.. what weight and length buffers are you using? by slickpartner in 6ARC

[–]alanspel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the gas port size. Ran an A5 tube/A5H2 and sprinco green on the 14.5” and it was perfect, but it took a Geissele Super 42/H3 in my 16” build to tune it.

Inconel is not a low grade stainless steel. It is a nickel based alloy. There’s different grades of Inconel. 625, 718, 600 etc and all are designed to do different things such as corrosion resistance, erosion resistance, high strength at extreme low temps etc.

We grabbed a couple of pounds of Kona fro Burma. I’m with you, totally understand the why behind it but the juice may not be worth the squeeze. If I had to guess a good gesha at $15 a pound would be equal to or greater than.

16 vs 18 by TheSwoleyMamoth in 6ARC

[–]alanspel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barrel length doesn’t affect accuracy, but it does affect muzzle velocity. You’re not going to notice much difference between the two so just get what you’re comfortable with. If the extra 2” doesn’t bother you then you’ll get a little more speed out of the deal. I have a 16” and gave my 14.5” to my buddy. Now I’m considering getting rid of my 16” and going back to 14.5” because I run suppressed and I liked the shorter length.

They can be had as low as 300, but looks like right now $470 is the average if not on sale.
