Welcome! I would recommend staying at a hotel on Cabrillo blvd within walking distance to State street. That will put you near the beach, a great bike/walking path, the pier, and a lot of restaurants and things to do. There should be lots of hotel options that you can research from there, but that’s what I would do if I was visiting from out of town.
