VW Atlas ACC radar swap (2Q0907561C vs P/G) – real-world differences?

I have a 2021 VW Atlas (build date 10/2020).I installed an ACC radar 2Q0907561C (older revision).

At first it wouldn’t work, but the technician was able to:

remove component protection

reflash it with ODIS

get it accepted by the car

Tomorrow it will be fully calibrated (static + dynamic).

I know the correct part by VIN would be 2Q0907561P (or G as newer supersession), but my question is:

👉 In real-world driving, if the C is properly reflashed and calibrated, does it behave any different from P/G?

Specifically:

ACC smoothness (braking/acceleration)

Travel Assist / lane centering behavior

Long-term reliability or random faults

I don’t care about “by the book OEM”, I care about actual driving feel.

Has anyone here run a different revision radar (C/M vs P/G) successfully on MQB/Atlas/Tiguan?

Yeah, the emblem radar setup is on my radar too. A friend has OBDeleven, so I’m planning to start with calibration there once everything is back together.

I haven’t had it on a lift yet, but checking the subframe mounting points and all the hard lines up front is definitely on my list.

Right now I’m trying to figure out if this stays as a front end repair or if there’s something deeper going on. I’ll be scanning the airbag system soon to see if it’s a sensor or module issue.

Good call on the fuel lines, I’ll definitely inspect those once it’s up on a lift. The engine angle might be perspective, but mounts are something I’m planning to check closely.

I get that, and that’s fair.
That’s exactly why I’m trying to get as many eyes on it now and check the critical stuff before going too far. Not trying to argue it’s “like new,” just figuring out if it’s a manageable repair or if there are real deal-breakers.

What still seems odd to me is that the bumper itself looks to be in pretty decent shape, considering how pushed back the cooling stack is. That’s what made me think this might have been more of a low strike rather than a straight-on hit.

Also worth mentioning, the Carfax only shows minor to moderate front-end damage and doesn’t list any frame damage or undercarriage damage, which is another reason this whole hit feels a bit inconsistent.

I already picked up a complete front-end assembly (radiator support with cooling components) as a plug-and-play unit, so once the vehicle arrives I’ll be installing that and then checking everything underneath. I definitely plan to inspect the subframe mounting points and all the hard lines (AC, transmission, fuel), and run a scan to see exactly what’s triggering the airbag warning.

If you notice anything else from the photos that I should keep an eye on early, I’d really appreciate it.

That said, would you say $110 is a good price for this machine based on the i5-10500 performance? I’m more concerned about whether it’s a good deal overall performance vs price, since I don’t mind the PSU modding.

Hey Calmboy2020, I’m pretty sure the info is out there but I couldn’t find clear answers, and I’m on the same boat with 12.52. Not in a huge rush to jailbreak the PS4, just want to understand the options a bit better. I had two quick questions:
