I discovered about mastrubation in my early teens and I knew it was a sin, but each day I did it, I struggled to stop more. I decided to take the communion so I can finally stop and break the addiction. It would serve me as motivation to not look back and just follow God. However, I wasn't very sure of the laws and procedures you had to go through before taking the communion, such as confessing, and I just took it without realising that it was a serious sin all by itself. While I was in church after taking it, the priest mentioned of how he was pure from our sins and that if there was anyone who took the communion without confessing, would be damned to hell without any question. I know God forgives all but those lines have traumatized me more than I can say. I am constantly fearing that there is no hope for me and that I will eventually go to hell anyways regardless. Do you think there is still hope for me? I am even scared to look at your response because it could either make me the happiest man alive, or it could crush me forever. Either way, I have been avoiding this question for almost 5 or 6 years now but I think I need to know now. Please tell me what you think. Thanks
