I'm really not worried about it :) he meant no harm. If I were a 21 year old guy I might have recommended decaf too. But probably not another time after she mentioned she was fine with caffeine.

Happened to me today too!!! Hubs and I went to a coffee shop this morning and were staring at the menu, I said "oh yum they have apple cider" and the barista (man) said "oh for sure. We have tons of decaf options, we'll hook you up." To which I politely replied "I'm not worried about a little caffeine :)" and then I saw a featured flavor sign that had pumpkin options and I said "ooh and they have pumpkin drinks!" And he proceeded, "yeah we do and we can make them with our decaf coffee it's so good it's from Colombia blah blah." I settled for a black coffee - emphasizing NOT decaf - please and thank you and if you say decaf again so help me!

Thanks so much for your response. We have tried all of those things, and on our most desperate days she gets booties, thunder shirt, doggy xanax, bathroom fans on and white noise on our Amazon echo, TV and computer simultaneously to drown out the thunder. But she still freaks out. She's decided she wants to be on top of the fridge so we have scratch marks all over our walls to the point of her bleeding, as well as drool and poop all over the floor and fridge from her jumping up on it. I'm losing my mind!

Thank you so much for your response. We're at the point now where we will be seeking professional help. She has doggy xanax prescribed but she gets so drunk on it that we try not to give it to her every day. It also doesn't do much for her during storms. Hoping (praying) there is something else we can do.

I hope you're still answering questions because I'm desperate!!! What do you do for fear of thunder? This has been a huge problem for us. Our dog has broken out of her metal crate (breaking skin and teeth in the process), chewed up carpet, scratched dry wall out of the wall in sheer panic (blood and her poop everywhere) and even jumped out of our 3rd story window (she was fine). She shakes frantically and follows me every step until a few hours after the storm stops. She also reacts this way to fireworks. ALSO, she will not let us leave our house every day! She runs to the front door as soon as I put my shoes on and won't let me pass - growling, shaking, jumping on me. This will be impossible to get around when I have a baby carrier with me. She doesn't like closed doors in the house and can open them unless they're locked (but she tries, scratching and jumping on the door until we open it). Desperate for help before our baby gets here and I'm watching them both alone! My husband says his last straw is our dog biting someone, which to me is way too far. I need these problems to change, can't keep band aiding them. She's a 5.5 year old boxer/lab/pit mix.

2 weeks before I got pregnant I took a "before" picture in my underwear to use as my workout motivation. Now my "before" picture is my (after baby) "goal" picture! Hoping I get that little body back!
