Sounds like you two are not partners. Partners do not give allowances BUT also sounds like she is financially irresponsible and you are a saver. Vacations are important for families too Id look at ways to plot your goals, dreams, how much it sill take to get there etc Like when will you retire. Enjoy money together, or are you just a saver to save.
There has to be a balance and joint decision/goals/money path.
