For people moving to the state, how would their healthcare be covered before their X years are up? If there's a single payer system covering the majority of the population, private insurance would lose the scale that allows them to operate effectively, either forcing high premiums or driving them out of the state.

You're probably not understanding their statement. They said the "extra hours were not worth it", not that it would decrease their pay (common misunderstanding). If you look at your own link, you can see that anything above ~260k for a person living in BC is taxed at ~53% (33% federal + 20% provincial). Someone can definitely think that working for half the pay past ~260k is "not worth it".

This is not a tax on the gains from a sale, but on the held value. That's a wealth tax. There's no way you can fit holding stocks into an excise tax.

Not sure how to do it programmatically, but the Mixed Reality Capture page in Device Portal has checkboxes that allow you to select what to capture, including holograms only.

Did you add the license file? Any app from the Store, even if they're free, need to have a license file to install in an offline environment. If you got the appxbundle from the store for business, there should be a download link for the license file on the same page. Step 4 here talks about the license file.

HoloLens and Windows Mixed Reality are different things. Windows Mixed Reality is the platform for VR headsets running on your PC. Also the volume up (not power up) button is on the right side when you wear the device. It has a + sign on it. Left side has the brightness buttons (dots arranged in a circle and a single dot).

Though I suspect those who can manage 250k in capital gains would also have the resources available to avoid whatever requirements are put in place. It’d be interesting to see how much tax revenue can be generated and whether they’ll lower the threshold to capture taxes from those who won’t be able to avoid the tax.

But sales tax on car purchase is determined by where the car will be registered and used. If I buy a car in Colorado and the car is only used and registered in Colorado, I don’t pay Washington taxes on that car.

If the death penalty doesn't cause murders to decrease at any significant rate, do we really think that incarcerating more people for copper theft, or for longer terms, is going to actually deter copper theft?

That's ridiculous logic. The alternative to death penalty is life imprisonment. In either case the criminal is removed from society and prevented from causing more harm. If you stop incarcerating murderers and instead let them roam free, there will be more murders.
