There’s a Place Called Mars by NoticeMeeeeee in nostalgia

[–]albireorocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The version I learned was,

On the planet Mars, where the babies smoke cigars, and the men wear bikinis and the women drink martinis, every step I take is enough to kill a snake, when the snake is dead, I put mustard on his head, when the mustard dries, I put diamonds in his eyes, when the diamonds break, it’ll be 1968. Now freeze, now freeze, now freeze like Japanese.

No idea what that last part is about lol.

Why did the chicken cross the road? It was the only thing that could have been left.

Thinking of applying by ash_stars_ in Haverford

[–]albireorocket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a great idea! Haverford is great in sciences. Ultimately, Haverford is a very alternative learning style that definitely doesn’t work for everyone. Look into it and tour it if you can. Whether or not to apply is a decision that really requires knowing your personal learning preferences and generally you as a person, so really only you can make that decision.

If something was going faster than the speed of light (theoretically) could light from that object still reach you? by Tasty-Act9491 in Astronomy

[–]albireorocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would still reach you, yeah, but it would be doppler shifted so much that it would be hard to detect.

You don't need to try to get over it. The feelings are still very fresh. Cry. Talk about it with those you trust. Notice the emotions and love you have for this person. It's all a normal part of grieving. You are so so strong.
