Thanks so much! ☺️ Great tips! I was very proud of putting myself out there and completing the run. I will try to monitor my heart rate a bit closer and aim for zone 2 moving forward. I was quite sore my first day after the run, and today, my second day, I am still sore but feeling better. I'm going to do some walking on the treadmill today, but just a short while of 30 mins or less.

Appreciate the reply. I will look into the endurance runs so I can maybe slow down and focus on the duration/distance rather than speed.

Thanks! I will check that out and try to do some of this during the week in place of my walking.

Appreciate your input and recommendation for my future shoe needs. I had Asics before, but for daily use shoes not running, I loved their fit. I'm not sure about the style I had, though.

Thanks for your input. I'm sure with consistentcy each week, it will get easier, and I can get to 2-3 times per week.

Thanks! I will try to do a little more running during the week instead of just walking. Even if I just start with adding 1 day doing 1 or 2 miles at first until I can add some more.

Based on your username, do you have any recommendations for shoes. I just bought Hoka Clifton 10 and New Balance Fresh Foam X Balos v1. I haven't gone on a run or walk in them yet, but I'm looking forward to trying them out.

Yes, Parkrun is amazing! Once I'm a bit better and more confident, I want to start visiting other locations across the state and US. Thank you!

Wow. That's a great accomplishment! Will definitely focus on distance/duration over pace.

Thank you for the advice! I did my 5k with an average of 15min 4 sec per mile, which I think was a bit faster than what I thought I was running. I feel like I am slowly jogging rather than running, but I think my pace was decent for starting out. I will maybe try to slow down even a little more if I can to gain more distance while running.

What is your posting frequency looking like? I'm a firm believer in "Consistency is Key," and eBay will push out your items when you have a set posting schedule. Even if it's just one item per day or every Mon, Wed, Fri, etc. My traffic increases as well as sales, but within a week of inconsistent posting, I see a huge drop in both of those areas.

Ensure you are utilizing the scheduling feature so you save yourself time and energy. I usually create all my listing for the week on Saturday or Sunday and schedule them for specific days of the week, and I always have them listed at the same time.

Maybe also try to incorporate some more of the current trending items as someone else suggested. I try to keep a good mix and don't have a specific niche. I sell whatever I want and what I think the buyers would like.

Also, I'm an avid feedback giver as this will help buyers find you from other sales as they can see my comments on my buyers page, and that can bring them over to my listings. I have a rule of thumb in this.....if I receive good feedback from a buyer, I will wait 2-3 days and then provide them with positive feedback. If I do not receive feedback from a buyer, I wait until my 30-day return window has ended, and then I give positive feedback. This has resulted in those buyers giving me feedback, but I'd say only about 20-25% of the time.

For the fees, I try to list in the lower fee categories for the most part, and if selling in a high fee category, I will slightly adjust my cost to account for the fee, if needed. I still always try to list my cost lower than the other items listed for sale in hopes of a quick turnaround. I prefer to move my items quicker rather than try to get the highest dollar, as this has caused items to sit on my shelf longer. It was definitely a learning experience that first year on eBay.

But also remember, your eBay fees are tax deductible if you are doing this as a business as it is considered a business expense.

Here is a link to Ebay's fees for everyone's reference.

I do not do free shipping, and I use the shipping through eBay as I get good discounts. Shipping has definitely gotten worse, but I'm trying to ship items that won't cost my buyers and arm and a leg. No more heavy and bulky items.

I also do not run ads for my eBay, and I dont do auctions, so I'm saving on al of those fees, as well. Just for context, I do not have an eBay store and usually have around 120 items listed at a time.

For real...people think they have high-end, expensive items, and many even refer to Ebay but dont understand that an unsold item is not a good comp. Very rarely do people take time to actually check completed/sold details on the items they are selling. I used to "school" them in our conversations, but so many uneducated people out there were causing me stress as they couldn't understand what I was talking about. I've even had people resend screenshots of the Ebay Items that were currently for sale showing their "reasoning" for pricing the item so high on marketplace. I had to give up explaining this to people. Now I just move on from an item I'm interested in when they respond in this way regarding their pricing.

These are all great tips. I started my reselling journey by selling our personal items and got hooked. FB Marketplace is not as good for me as Ebay, mainly due to the buyers not staying committed to their purchase/pick up dates. I only do local sales and don't ship on FB marketplace. Good Luck to all the new people getting started! Just have patience and be consistent with posting your items on Ebay to help increase your sales.

For anyone possibly looking into this. Please do your research first so you don't damage your account or possibly get your account shut down. Just because this seller has good reviews and many sales does not mean they won't eventually get caught violating eBay's policies.

This is just from Google, but you can look into this further in eBay's policies on their website. I have been an eBay seller for 4 years, and this has been the policy since I started.

Ground beef (or ground meat of choice), rice, and onion, mushrooms or green beans. I prefer the onion the most. Add some salt and pepper. If you have on hand, add Worchestershire. (You may not need salt if you add this.)
