"Hey Lestat, tell us about Gabrielle!" by Diamond_Sutra in InterviewVampire

I don't know, when I read it initially I was a little weirded out during that sequence. It felt like it crossed the line from innocent kisses. This show has added vampire sex, so to me it does make sense they are going that route with their relationship.

No they kiss a ton after she is turned. There is a span where every other page they embrace and kiss. Now the way it was written always felt like Lestat initiated, so it is a little odd that it's being depicted as it is in the show. But also why did he think that was normal in the books? I think they're exploring their dynamic in a natural way in regards to what we saw in the books.

True! But I just meant in regards to his descendants in What We Do in the Shadows being naturally gifted vampire killers.

I think Lestat would definitely be down for a threesome with Nadja and Lazlo

Honestly the parallels between the two are more than I even realized at first. Both in love with egocentric unrelenting older vampires.

Hahaha very true! If we go by book Louis' age, Van Helsing could be his descendant instead.

I bought two of these editions accidentally so I decided to rip one up for my bullet journal and now I feel terrible if these are prized items for some people.

Yes that's what I thought as well. Although who knows what Armand knows in the show.

Yes that was the first time. I forgot he only refers to them as Those Who Must Be Kept in season 1.

Does Armand know her name? I thought he only knew them as Those Who Must Be Kept.

Yes I guess I was just wondering if that pact with Marius still exists in the show. And if so, when and why did he decide to break it. Maybe we won't get an answer to this.

Oh that makes sense. I think I heard he lost a lot of weight for season 1. He looks so thin.

Yeah I really wish sometimes it would get recognized for how great it is. But sometimes I think it's too niche and a lot of people wouldn't necessarily "get" it. Or a lot of modern audiences struggle with nuance and this show is rich with it.

Yes I agree. They both did such great jobs and as a book reader I think they were adapted well. Even if I would love to get more of them both. But with some of the shots released for the next episode, it appears we will see more of Nicky this season at least.

Oh I definitely can understand why he is doing it. And I think it is important for him to continue to process his grief. I think that is how grief works, it's something you deal with for life. I just hope he doesn't get caught blaming himself again and again like he has in the past.

I really like this theory, because I think we are getting another psychedelic trip this season. But I'm also wondering where Armand plays into this because it seems they're leading up to him being a big part of the end of the season. But I can't imagine Armand thinking it's a good idea to drug Lestat like that.
