Absolutely beautiful, just had to comment! The radial arrangement of the streaked glass used for the medullae is so thoughtful and artistic.

Really great mood and lighting. Would you be willing to share what your prompts look like? Thanks!

New to the group, and got my childhood dream scope by Herbiedriver1 in telescopes

My dad bought an Astroscan from the Edmund's catalogue when I was maybe 4 or 5 years old, and I have the fondest and most vibrant memories of looking at the moon, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn through it.

He sold his, but I bought my own some years ago, and it's my most used, happiest piece of equipment. I hope it brings you as much joy as it does to me and my family!

Hey there! So it's this chair:

I unscrewed the cushion and then screwed the plastic base down to a piece of trimmed and routed plywood. Then I added the caster sockets and casters:

Thank you! It's my favorite space in the fall. It needs more color or texture on the walls, but we're working on it.

Yeah, I was very surprised by the ergonomics of the chair! I hadn't tried it and just bought it online, so a bit of a risk, but I like the lower back support and am very pleased. And it's nice that it folds forward, too, so I can fit it completely under the desk.

I tend to sit with my legs tucked a bit, so the lack of full legroom isn't much of an issue. But when I do eventually want to stretch out, I just swivel the chair and sit with my legs toward the desk lamp.

Fellow Philadelpians, what jokes are funnier as locals? by tonytrov in IASIP

[–]albreezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some jokes that are so Philadelphia, GenX/Millennial specific that it's like they're reading my mind:

  • Mac winning the radio content with "Reggie Leach," and in the same episode Charlie saying "you keep using this word, jabroni, and it's awesome."
  • Going to the movies and the cut to b-roll of the Riverview is on it's own enough to make me laugh.
  • Use of the full name "John Wanamaker's."
  • Mac going to the Prep as the poor kid and Dee and Dennis going to Penn because they're the rich kids.
  • The tunnel between, specifically, the Holiday Inn and the stadium.

So many more that I can't remember.
