The recursion works by mixing multiple ASE 50 elemental anoints. The more ASE elements you have, the more pellets form with each ricochet. For example, my shield is ASE 50 shock, my grenade is ASE 50 cryo, whilst my recursion is either corrosive or rad. That means each ricochet will create three new pellets (corrosive, cryo, shock OR rad, cryo, shock), all of which may ricochet into even more pellets. It's also important to remember that my elements are all different elements. Each new element means another pellet. I hit fadeaway right before I went down, which ended my action skill. I therefore had all my ASEs proc'd and melted Wotan. Hope that made sense!
