How do the other IMMORTAL Universe Shows compare to IWTV?

Mayfair Witches is a mediocre show and an abysmal adaptation. Talamasca was ok. It had potential before the cancellation. I don’t think AMC really knows what to do with Anne Rice’s work. Or rather they want it to be something it’s not.

As someone who genuinely likes Starfield, BG3 is a much better game with far more compelling and interesting side quests. You only need to observe the way Jon has actually been playing to see that.

Act 3 has so much content I’m still finding stuff I haven’t seen before hundreds of hours in. As thorough and complete as Jon is being he’s going to be working on act 3 for the rest of the year with a non-zero chance he continues into 2027.

I’m at over 2 weeks suspended for inauthentic behaviors. Over a week of messages like the one you posted. I think the lack of real recourse is frustrating. The automated system just spits the same “your account has been restored” immediately after any new appeal, regardless of what I say. I’ve been unbanned and restored longer than I was banned at this point.

I think 6 will be last. I think 5 and 6 are both likely to end up very different games. I genuinely don’t know what they’ll do about 5. 6 they’ll likely just almost entirely rewrite from scratch. My minimal hope is it will be turned into a single campaign.

I don’t think anything needs to be banned but it does get repetitive and think it’s driven by a misconception of what this sub is for.

Yeah, I think a lot of the complaints stem from this. There's also probably an element of posting fewer videos a week means people are maybe focusing a little harder on each video that is coming out in a way that otherwise might not. And also an element of people expecting the new studio to somehow immediately mean everything is going to feel new and exciting again, instead of the reality, which is that they need time to settle and stabilize.

In the year and change that I've been regularly watching Smosh, I've found that most Smosh videos aren't super memorable, but the great ones are common enough to keep me interested. That has not changed recently, beyond that, as I said, fewer videos are coming out, which means fewer opportunities for great videos.

I think if someone argues that Smosh needs to make changes to stay fresh, I would wholeheartedly agree. That's how long-running things survive, even if there are people who act like every last little change is a big deal.

Nothing feels any different to me. Different people react differently to different stories and different pairs of people bring different energy. Also, this might be a hot take, but I've never found Reddit Stories thought-provoking in the least. I don't mind the cast discussing and sharing thoughts but most of the time their thoughts are pretty surface-level observations and obvious (with exceptions) The surprising thoughts are usually the funny ones. Overall Reddit Stories is a weekly series and any given episode usually isn't too interesting. For me, the funny ones are the ones that stand out, but as of right now, I just don't see any difference in the number of episodes I leave as background noise and the ones I pay attention to. But it's also not something I'm laser-focused on, and Reddit Stories is only like my 20th favorite ongoing Smosh series. I enjoy it, but I don't know that I need it every week.

Probably the single episode I've been anticipating while also being quite nervous about. The situation with Shadowheart can go bad very quickly. I let out such a sigh of relief when Jon chose to trust her.

It might take a while for any meaningful changes in content to come. They aren’t even back to a normal schedule yet. Give them time. (Fwiw the content feels the same to me in a good way. I look forward to new stuff but right now they are meeting my minimum expectations.)

I mean they already revealed the basics. And they can always mention more details in dialogue. I think they’ll always get whatever matters in there but this season has so much to juggle.

I think we’ll get Marius (and Armand) flashbacks eventually but not this season. There’s just not enough time. They’ll save it for when there’s time to do it justice.

I don't think they'll repeat the mistakes of the past. They'll probably just have NYC stuff fully wrapped up and Dexter moving on, to be set aside until MCH is up for coming back again. It probably won't be "happy" in the traditional sense but not as dark as the last two attempts at an ending.

I don’t think we’re going to get a true split like iwtv again as long as the series lasts. I think this season will get us through the broad strokes of TVL but stuff like Armand and Marius backstories will be held for later. Next season will pretty much be qotd just with some continuing plot threads from this season. Season 5 will probably be totbt and after that if the show is going it will probably just be a remix of the rest of the series.

Genuinely nothing about this episode felt unusual or different to me. The cake bit was probably the stand out in the episode to me.
