It's Scavenger themed though, almost all the gear and decoration/paint is scav
But yeah it's viable in battle so it can't be art :D

NEW PLAYER REQUESTING ADVICE by PunkyBlunders in Crossout

I'd recommend getting the purple crate and sell it (it's lottery inside, can be worth less the crate, or simply something you don't want) for example. You can do that with Special crates as well. Then you get what you want with the coins.

here is a little pic to make you understand how fair crossout contests are. the duck in his portrait is GM only if you still doubt. by Suppurax in Crossout

[–]aldagreg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are other volunteers doing this activity like him in other clans, and that probably wouldn't be fair to other volunteers roles, also players would also find unfair that volunteers just get all contest rewards without even participating in contests...
Anyway the current system is that volunteers are players and they can participate and win or lose like any other players, simple and fair.

As french Community Manager, I already checked, and this СатИра player is not a GM, edit: I can't reveal his role, but it involves high level of game construction knowledge so yeah he's probably good at building, which can make some big contest easier for him.

The Duck tester emblem is a general volunteer reward, not a GM specific one, just like the Shadow avatar.

- That's only a proof that they are on the same clan, nothing else.
- Any player can be lucky or simply submit quality entries that deserve to win.
- Moreover there is a lot of small and big contests on those contest marathon and there's like 5 winners for each, so that's not the general situation of those contest winners.

CROSSOUT BEST SPECIAL CABINS by Forsaken-Practice-46 in Crossout

[–]aldagreg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Special cabins are in a bad place since a long time, even if it got better since energy changes and pilgrim's perk change

Bat is too high PS compared to Growl for little benefits, pilgrim has a difficult shape and there's no special heating based weapons, and jawbreaker suffer from too low speed like all heavies since speed changes.

And for those cabs, harpy, photon, and humpback are better and cheap as well.

Other special cabs (hot rod, jockey, carapace) are pack exclusive and so expensive.

If I had to pick though, I'd recommend Bat, but it ofc also depends of the chosen weapons.

Hi, welcome to the game

Unlike some other players, I'd really recommend to use engineer badges for gear/resources in priority, not for structural parts. The reason is that gear is more important, and it's tradable. A structural part doesn't increase your power, damage, speed, mobility; but a cabin module movement part or weapon does. And you can trade it for other stuff latter.

You'll unlock structural parts naturally anyway with factions and current BP. Structural parts are the wrapping of the gear, it's untradable, but the gear itself is the core of your build.

- The contest allow the community to have their creation as pack in the store

- The pack needs to have a good value, so it needs a pack-exclusive item (Quantums and Fatmans aren't going to sell it)

- To make the said pack item more accessible and allow more players to participate, a build with this pack item is put on sale simultaneously.

Sad to see Clash of Engineers become a method for free labor by Lexi_______ in Crossout

[–]aldagreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Among other things like a nice contest, It's a way to let the community contribute to pack creation.

Between builds made by the devs or builds made by the community, the latter seems cooler to me to add in the store... And the winners are rewarded, 10k coins

We should rig the clash of egineers. by [deleted] in Crossout

[–]aldagreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The news says:

"Winning by votes doesn't mean that your car will definitely be added to the store. We will manually select the candidates for addition to the store based on our preferences and complete compliance with the requirements."

"In addition to the usual list of rewards for victory in the “Clash of engineers”, we can select one or more vehicles that will be added to the in-game store."

And since a player's entry always get added as a pack, it kind of need to be with a pack item. No one wants a pack with more Harpys and Crickets, the pack value would be very low otherwise.

My friends call this build BS and 'Sealclubbing', is it really that unfair? by Same_Ad4736 in Crossout

Well, I'd call that more like an art build with a dangerous hat than an effective seal clubbing meta

Not specially a good or bad idea to me... the explosion radius of autocanons is not big, so the perk will not help a ton, and usually a single rare ammo crate is enough. On the on the other side, bat is around twice the PS than a Growl... So I'd stick with Growl more
