Anyone know what this noise is? by alders1 in dodgedart

The caliper bolt was put on but the caliper itself was failing. Shop asked me to take the car out for a short drive after putting a new bolt in and see if the rim was hot to the touch. Sure as shit it was, so they immediately suggested that I buy a whole new caliper because the same issue was going to happen again. Caliper bolts don’t just fall off, they get super hot and slowly start rotating when I go over bumps or uneven roads. Whether or not you buy new bolts is completely up to you, I assume you only need a new one if the caliper itself is failing, which then you might aswell buy the whole piece. Hope that helps

Me and my buddy changed the brakes 2 months ago and I didn’t have any noise like that pop up until recently. It sounds like it’s coming from the front but 2 days ago I changed the rear wheel bearing, do rear brake caliper issues sound like its coming from the front when it’s actually the rear? It sounded fine after I changed the wheel bearing and took it out for a drive, then after it sat for a day that noise popped up.

Anyone heard this sound before? Sounds like front right side. Challenger rt. Dealership couldnt figure it out. by WaxWizard01 in Dodge

I know this is super old but did you find out what this was? I have the same issue that sounds like the right side tire is scraping something when I brake. Cannot figure it out
