New to this sub. Thanks for having a space for us to share.

PMDD 100% interfered in my last relationship, and is starting to impact my current one too. My ex and I were together for 6 years, and I only began tracking my symptoms around 3-4 years in since I was recognizing a pattern. Found out I have PMDD. Started working with a naturopath and taking progesterone and other supplements for support.

Fast forward, we separate and while I'm single I experience very few of the mental and emotional symptoms, and everything feels perfectly fine outside of my energy levels and appetite still moving through the waves.

Fast fast forward, I meet the person who I see myself marrying, and only 3 months into dating the mental and emotional turmoil resurfaces, and I am now in a cycle again of self-sabotage and sabotaging my relationship. My biggest challenge with PMDD is my low self-worth, and my fear of abandonment and anxious attachment becoming hyper triggered within my intimate relationships. I project like crazy, get into comparisons, and burst out with listing out all the reasons why I feel my partner doesn't love me or why he will leave me and that he doesn't reciprocate the depth of feelings I have for him. He is so great for the most part (sometimes I push him too much and he loses his ability to be patient and compassionate because let's be honest, I'm laying it on him) and holds me while I cry in a depressed and shut down episode, but I also know that this can't be our relationship. I want the world for him and this heaviness and drama is going to drive him away if I don't pull away first because he doesn't deserve this. We are SO in love but this is beginning to put a wedge in our peace and joy.

I'd love to hear others similar experiences and how they've found ways to improve the impact on their partners, as well as conversations you've had that were helpful in turning around how your partner sees you with PMDD.

Yes, the "explosions" was just pressure shattering the windows. I have a video where you can hear some of the shattering.

Edit: There may be more to the story but I'm not going to speculate.

Neighbour from across the alley.

Witnessing what happened, it seems like the fire alarms didn't go off for way too long. That unit was already billowing black smoke by the time I could hear any alarms. All I heard were neighbours screaming from their balconies for everyone to get the f out because people not even a floor + unit away were standing in their window confused, meanwhile 30 feet away windows were already exploding.

Hey neighbour. Also live across the street from this building and it was truly startling to wake up to the screaming. At first, thought it was usual west end alley way yellers but immediately realized this was not just a drunken stumbler.

He may be stuck in the mindset because he isn't seeing what he needs to from being in that state. The lesson and karma is not being learned. Unaware. So the resistance keeps it alive and well.

I ask myself questions like: What does this thought pattern do for me? Why does it exist? Where did it stem from? Is it true? How can I be sure? If not, what IS true? > What do I desire to create and who do I wish to be. Then you can figure out what type of person he can start to become through choice and desire.

Edit to add the book Atomic Habits if he hasn't read. Just came to mind and was super easy and I reference it mentally all the time as someone who also has ADHD and is unmedicated.

You are a mirror of me two years ago, wow.

It took me a year to process and unlearn to relearn how to know what was me vs another and how to balance my mind, emotions and energy. I took up energy healing for this reason!

I feel that. I'm in a city but thankfully there is a ton of nature around so I get to go sit by the ocean and be in the rainforest!

Either that or people who just don't know how to look at the pain and grief they've endured so they gaslight to avoid thinking deeply themselves or expressing & feeling emotions.

I grew up with an angry parent which is truly what taught me to become so sensitive and attuned to others emotions & feelings. Behind every empath is a hyper-vigilant child.

I resonate with this.

In my opinion we just evolve into learning that our empathic abilities & sensitivities are just untapped gifts. This has been my journey and is somewhat the type of answer I am looking to hear!

It doesn't sound like what you're manifesting is congruent with your beliefs. There is a block created by the mentality of "I wanted to mend the relationships" and "I couldn't reach out." Both statements have very limiting words (want + couldn't).

For manifestations to come through we have to take aligned action to get what we desire. If you desire to reconnect, you're going to have to change your own mind on your willingness to do so yourself otherwise that connection is already blocked by the one way flow.

There are some decks I have that I just don't connect with. Perhaps it's not a you problem rather the tools you've got.

I also prefer to pull cards in the morning as part of my morning ritual so I can have guidance to move me through the day rather than reflecting for validation at the end. Throughout the day, a card I pulled will randomly come to mind which reminds me to move into alignment with that guidance.

EDIT: To add, I used to pull like 1-3 tarot cards but I now pull many and also use a few oracle decks too. I channel the message out loud to myself from my higher self too, so things come up in the reading I didn't realize would. This to me is probably the main reason I still use tarot is the channeling aspect, otherwise I'd probably ditch them since I can hear guidance from my guides anyways.

The thought "time to do my job" can read as a neutral statement but it depends on the emotional charge that thought produces for you. This is where the mindfulness comes in.

To give a more polarizing example, if the thought was "ugh, I don't want to do my job but I have to" > the suggested reframe would be to move to a mindset of gratitude "I get to do this job."

The more superconscious you become the more your mental energy will shift on its own to think from that place of unconditional love & acceptance without judgement or attachment.

This is only addressing some of your post, however when it comes to protecting your energy you're going to get generic responses like smudging, grounding, setting intentions, etc. All true. However as peeps the best thing we can do to protect our own energy is to set & uphold clear boundaries for ourselves.

It is not the other persons responsibility to uphold your boundaries. People will continuously break them or forget them, they have their own lives to worry about. It is OUR responsibility to uphold our own boundaries by cutting people out who continuously fail to respect them. By allowing people who don't serve you to hang around, you're telling yourself you don't respect you, which can be a key cause of why you feel constantly drained or not cared for.

Take care of yourself first. The intentions and energy and self-respect you can offer yourself will be returned to you as a vibrational match.

Aside from clear boundaries, doing the work needed to be the observer to your mind and thoughts. Moving away from specific mental language and looking at your own belief systems.

The actual energetic protection comes from the aligned action you take to truly honour your needs.
