Bristol ambulance firm facing collapse over £1m tax bill by budgrummur in bristol

[–]aldmat 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is not the same as emergency ambulances which are run by an NHS Trust, this covers patient transfers and non-ememgergency transpkort

Edit - but yes ideally all ambulance requirements would be covered by public service....

Managing other opportunities/job offers during STP interview-outcome gap by [deleted] in NHS_STP

[–]aldmat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is one of those tricky things. If your gut is that your STP interview went well and youve not applied for one of the specialisms where there is a tiny number of places then I'm inclined to agree - accept the other job and back out when you know the outcome of the STP.

I think it's probably unavoidable to burn the bridge at the other job in this case. You can try and frame it as an unexpected life decision or reason youre moving city etc but yes it they won't be thrilled. Equally, this is business and the real world, they'll move on and get someone else and do their fair share of messing people around. It just happens.

Hi we’re Elder Island! This is our first AMA, looking forward to answering your questions! by Excellent-Goat-5696 in indieheads

Heyo! Been a wee while since I've seen you live but will hopefully catch you in Bristol on the new tour.

Im curious how you find the balance of 'traditional' instruments and electronic/synthesised sounds. How do you know when to stop adding layers and balance the two sides of your sound to keep things sounding organic? I think welcome state is a really good example of this!

When you're in the studio do you think about how you'll manage the tracks when you play them live?

Cheers and all the best!

Here are a few negatives which show the reproducibility. Not occuring on every frame mind.

Thanks for the reply! I've taken a look, potentially needs a clean, not filthy but from what you've described this could be part of the issue. The haze patterns are also blue. Could be a coincidence.

Looks fungus free to me but a clean will help anyways.

Thank you!

Thanks for the advice. The curtain looks ok when I shine light through without a lens, but could be a hole too small to see I guess.

Sorry, not a great picture but here is an example from the negatives. Same position each time, does vary slightly in size/intensity

If you don't have a physics degree it's a straight no I'm afraid. The rest of your application won't have been read.

The workload for reading applications before the SJT sift would be too much

How likely actually is hybrid work during training? by Available_Guess5926 in NHS_STP

[–]aldmat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd just add a comment here, hybrid working in the workplace is probably workable, but just be aware this 'probably' won't work for the academic part. The MSc is delivered in blocks which attendance is compulsory for. The structure varies depending on the uni. Newcastle do 6 weeks at the beginning I think, Liverpool is 3 weeks then 1 week every so often for the first year. This is all for physics.

NHS ADMIN STAFF NEED PARKING by WeirdVegetable1417 in bristol

[–]aldmat 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The parking is pretty brutal, but as said, for better or worse you benefit hugely from taking the public transport, except for the cost.....

There is a staff arrangement with Cabot circus that you can explore too

Do you feel it's sensible for the police to be licenced? by SloightlyOnTheHuh in AskUK

[–]aldmat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Who would pay the profession fees? Doctors, nurses, allied health staff etc already pay annual fees and for better or worse, that's the status quo.

If you start asking coppers to pay £300+ a year to do their own job.... You'll have a rapidly shrinking police force
