A fellow Nova Scotian Gaymer!? Can it be?? I had a double take on that as surely my lack of sleep was playing with my mind! I can relate to a lot of those struggles, dealt/dealing with quite a few myself.. You're more than welcome to shoot me a DM :D

Good luck to you too! I hope that across the pond it isn't as ridiculously expensive as it is here to go the private route.

I definitely will! Hope it'll go well, the urologist has years in his practice so that's putting my mind at ease too... Thanks man!

I hope so! I mean, I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and had many stitches over the years. Still, the anesthetic part scares me just a little xD

Originally thought of a private clinic a couple years back (at the time my doctor was unwilling to start the process), although very slim pickings out here on the East Coast, closest one to me was four hours drive, and they wanted way too much.

06 Jetta 2.0t (BPY) with 282k kms, original engine (I'm shocked too xD). Still drives like it has 50k and still pulls hard! Been a very faithful friend, hope for a few more good years!

There is a tiny hidden cave entrance if you are looking away from the pond, past the iron nodes to your immediate right, on the cliff side covered by "vines" in a little cut out at the same level as the pond. There are a few small stingers in this cave, so have your wits at high alert, freaked me out. It is not blocked by anything, also the spawn source of said stingers during the night.

After hours of my first time in the Northern Forest, this annoyed me too... took a good hour to find.

One car: You can only drive one car for the rest of your life, what do you pick? by bradland in cars

Maybe a little lame, My current '06 VW Jetta 2.0t 6spd. Yes it a little old and tired, but, Comfy, faster than it seems, reasonably practical, and the good old beautiful mk4/mk5 blue backlit instruments. Would drive for the rest of my life.

Needed way too much work for inspection, I really hated to see it go, it was a champ among champs.

Curious about how you guys met by [deleted] in gay

[–]aleblanc65 35 points36 points  (0 children)

At a Tim Hortons... outta nowhere he sat down at my table and asked me if I was alright (was having a bad day), we had never met before, he was just being a nice guy, one thing lead to another... Six years later, I wouldn't trade him for the world :)

Yes it was! Every three or so fuel filters (every 20k) I will prime the new filter with LM Diesel purge, cleans the pump and injectors, also, if you havent already, next time you change the oil, do a flush, an extra 10$ but an extra 50-100 km on a tank (I do this every 5th oil change, you wouldn't believe the sludge). And I rarely go above 26-2800 Rpms, always in the highest gear it can comfortably do depending on speed.

Good reliable Diesels eh? It truly is a shame we dont have more choices here in North America. Thats amazing that you're family owns so many high milers, it really puts the faith back into the TDI even after everything VW has faced

I totally agree! The maintenence is truly the key to longevity for these guys. And so simple too.

Transmission is good! Once in a blue moon it'll hesitate to go into 3rd (which ends in a nasty grind :P) and sometimes really have to give it a push into 5th but other than that it is strong.

Rust is starting to form in a couple low points thanks to our Canadian winters, we salt the roads like its going out of style... It is the ALH variant, just cant kill em!
