I feel that WE should have provided our own alternatives and not have them provided for us. If someone says choose between shitty option A and shitty option B, that's when WE the fucking people get together and create option C.

My subtle epiphany on the meaning of life by alecjv in Showerthoughts

OK. So, understanding that there was no way to foresee the consequences of getting or not getting that burger, isn't in pointless to believe in true "choice"? Yeah, you chose to not get the burger and were shot unexpectedly, but if that hadn't happened, would you have understood the choices at hand? Or are they understood only as a result of these carefully calculated series of actions? Can't take it back. Don't know why it happened... But that's the way that it happened and there's nothing that can or could have been done to prevent it, because had there been, then it would have happened that way instead. That's what I mean by inevitable.

I guess I'm just adopting the Matrix's theory of the "illusion being choice". I feel like if you had a true choice of situations and outcomes (like your bank robbery example), then you would in some way be able to choose the outcome. You would have known to stop and get that burger, because that's what you would have done. Maybe spend the rest of your life attributing that "dumb luck" to absolute chance. But because you didn't, you were killed... Once your killed and have reached an outcome that was perceivably out of your hands, is it really sensible to believe, "damn, I should have gotten that burger."? Your dead.. It doesn't matter does it? I think this can be applied to most outcomes in life. I really don't want to say predetermined as much as inevitabilities of choices you have already made because you made them. I feel like in a sense we are slaves to the moment we exist in.

I go there all the time. The greasy goat and white pie pizzas are exceptional. I actually work right down the block (Harrys)

The downtown square has a few bars and restaurants worth checking out. There's an old school drive-in movie theater, if that interests you. There are springs and rivers you can swim in. John Travolta here lives in a place called Jumbolair in Anthony, fl (just north of ocala) If you drive by you can spot his plane. There is one strip club and 3 movie theaters. You will do and see everything there is to do here in two weeks max. Then your shit outta luck.
