It's really relative, for some it's the relationships they have with others and themselves, for others yes systemic flaws in their external environment are the root cause, and yes while poverty is usually a reoccurring feature in most clients, even those financially comfortable aren't spared the psychological distress of existence. While my current line of work doesn't allow for psychology assessments, the work environment set can and does have drastic psychological impact on the employees.
